The Southern Grill has great hummus and burgers, my daughter said, “ The pulled pork sandwich was really good!”
Walked 15 min from hotel to get a Bacon Cheddar burger which didn’t have bacon or cheddar. Actual burger was thick/good but dry. Don’t get the mac n cheese - seems heated from a bag and lacks “hearty southern comfort food” creamy and richness to it. Cuban is typical with all the standard ingredients. Called in and got a no fuss refund for the burger since I wasn’t going to waste 30 min round trip for bacon and cheddar on another one.

I am so glad I Made it to the Southern Grill before leaving Jacksonville! I must say this is the best place I ate at in 2 weeks and wish I would have found it sooner. The staff was very friendly and helpful the food was delicious I definitely recommend any and everyone to eat here!!! The BBQ was tender and the rice and gravy and the BBQ baked beans were delicious also. I got my oder to go which only took about 10 mins! I sat at the bat while waiting and the bar tender/waitress even made me a nice breakfast drink I believe she called it a vodka sunrise ? ? I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town!!! This is a must eat bar and grill 100% Recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is not their fault that they were so busy that they were out of all of the desserts that we like. There was no cakes no cookies only banana pudding. Chocolates and the brownies will also gone. I will say that they should season the chicken fingers a little more if they're not going to offer actual chicken with their waffles. But I do love the people there they're always nice and friendly. It's a very nice place to go after church. And they make a decent mimosa.
Nice staff. Large variety of food. I had the patty melt, it was well seasoned and so were the fries.they have both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and then find a seat. Parking is kind of hard.
I'm home on bedrest and ordered breakfast for pick up through a meal delivery service. The food was delayed 25 minutes and then when it came it was just okay. My pancakes were alright but the eggs were supposed to be scrambled and were not, they were gross! And the sausage was burnt. A pretty bug disappointment unfortunately.
This is a basic bar but the service is cheerful, the food is good and the portions are generous. Bonus point - it’s right next to the Riverfront Skyway station. Big negative - they serve the worst grits I have ever tasted. Have the fries instead.
This restaurant is casual and comfortable. The restaurant staff was friendly. However, our food was totally underwhelming. I had a fish sandwich and my fish was bland and over fried. My husband chose butterfly shrimp and it was bland as well. We will not go back.
