As usual, the Brown Jug is the place where my daughter(Class of 2020) and her sorority friends choose to go to remember their great years at Michigan. On this visit we enjoyed exceptional service by Sarah F., she so kind, on the ball and had a fun attitude. The Brown Jug makes me proud to be a Michigan parent! Go Blue.
I loved this place, very Friendly people, service was great. Definitely will go back again!! The stereo system there is awesome!!!? I’m a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan so it was especially fun for me. ❤️❤️❤️?

Very friendly staff. Greeted with the best Southern hospitality. It’s an honor to be in the same place as Ronnie Van Zant and the location of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Gimme Three Steps.”
The Jug Saloon probably banks on the fact that Ronnie was here dancing with a girl name Linda. It makes sense because The Van Zant house is about a mile away. However according to fact checkers, The Little Brown Jug, located on Edison Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida is actually where the song gimme three steps "originated". That bar is no longer there. Lynyrd Skynyrd could have at some point been here, but back in 2008 this place was called Pastime. Not sure what it was named in 1973, or if this place even existed. Sorry if I busted anyone's bubble...

The place was so fun to reminisce about some Skynyrd Stories and Lindsey was very helpful and very nice to us and took a couple pictures would recommend this fun place to anybody!
If you're ever in Jacksonville you have to make a stop at the Jug.
