Far far away from Mediterranean food… You should buy fresh salad . Don’t Chet your costumers. Stop by Chicago and see what is Mediterranean food…
My husband said the beef feast tasted good but portions weren't very big. When you think of feast, you think of substantial. It was not. I ordered hummus with veggies. The hummus was too lemony. I realize that there is lemon in hummus but there was not a good balance of flavors. The grilled veggies was too tomatoey. To me the most simple dishes should have the best flavor. My son ordered the weekend special which was the pasta with chicken. He said it tasted awesome! For the price the portions should be a little bigger. I know there are people that really like this place. I don't think we will be going back. Sorry.
Food was fantastic tonight and always is…service has been an opportunity the last couple times through for me. I placed a phone order tonight and went to pick up and was tersely greeted, which I got over quickly. I was told that the potatoes that I ordered as a side item we’re not available, which is unfortunate but not life-changing. When the order was complete the to go bags were given to me and I was told to have a good night, but I hadn’t paid for the food yet so I brought that up and was thanked for doing so. I went to pay and the credit card reader would not except my Apple Pay through my phone, So I paid with my credit card, but was told it probably didn’t go through because the correct button hadn’t been hit yet to read the Apple Pay so it probably would’ve worked I’m assuming. I also got home and realized I did not have a soft drink for the kids meal purchased and was on my receipt. Great food, less than great experience in all of those other areas.
I had checked the menu of Taziki’s looking forward to what sounded like it could be good Greek food. That was not the case. I ordered a Greek salad minus the olives but add steak and a lamb gyro add feta. Got it home and was so disappointed. Let’s start with the salad. The red peppers were so soggy that the salad had juice in the bottom of the container. There was hardly any feta and the steak was so chewy that I had to spit it out. The dressing was good, not great. If you are a gyro fan, skip Taziki’s, the lamb was chewy and the pita bread seemed stale. I added feta to the gyro and again, there was hardly any on it. The lettuce was soggy and the onions were non-existent. The gyro came with chips (which looked like they were from the very bottom of the bag and pasta salad.I’m giving Taziki’s 2 stars because the salad dressing, the Taziki’s sauce and the pasta salad were good, not great. I’m so disappointed in the food that I got. It was $30 and not worth that. I’m still looking for a good casual Greek restaurant. Seems like Taziki’s needs to go to Spiro’s restaurant in St. Louis MO for great Greek food.
Waited for over five minutes during a slow non-rush-hour to get my order. Love the food but when I’m starving I don’t wanna wait. Finally got frustrated and went next-door to The Loop .
Ordered via phone and was asked to wait on hold. No problem. But I waited 25 minutes! So, I hung up and got the same person right away. She apologized, and I made the order. I had to repeat the order twice, as I was told there were computer issues the first time. Ordered 2 of the large family meals and a side of veggies. After the meal, I realized the veggies were missing from our order. The food is good though. Just have to work out the other issues.
Very much love Tazikis. Even our kids love it. They sometimes beg for it. ?The manager that was there the last time was Awesome too, checking up on us and making sure everything was good. We will definitely be back.Oh and the rewards program is Awesome. Helped pay for a family meal one night after we racked up the points from previous visits. Yummmm!
We decided to give this place a try due to the high reviews, however, it was lackluster for us. We ordered a family feast for 4 with lamb and there was just not enough. The boxes weren't filled all the way (rice and meat), not enough pita (we each got 3 SMALL triangles), the lamb was tough and not too flavorful. I will say though that the salad dressing and tzatiki was amazing and tasted delicious. For almost 65$ I expected better. Might go back and try the whipped feta. Not sure yet. They did have very friendly staff too.
Not what I was expecting.Very disappointed in the serving size. You expect that when the entree is called "feast" you would at least get a decent portion of food. Don't be fooled this is more like a famine.Food quality average to poor.Wait time is horrible. It is also not cheap or worth it.Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Even an anorexic super model with no taste buds.
My husband and I enjoyed lunch here today. The food was very good; everything was fresh and tasty. Service was fantastic! We will return soon!
