Very tasty. I’ve ordered from here twice. The first time the cake was a decent size, beautifully decorated and delicious. My most recent purchase the cake was really small like a little bigger than my iPhone 11 which cost $65 dollars and claimed to feed 4-6 people. We had to cut very small pieces and was not at all what I expected. I take some ownership for the sizing mishap as I should have asked for more info but to be charged an extra $25 for gold drip for a cake that size was crazy. I expected the top to be gold too not just the sides. Might go back some day but be very cautious and specific when ordering. The decorations were very basic.
The strawberry and DULCE DE LECHE cupcakes deserve a review of their own , absolutely amazing. The prices were a little more than I anticipated but that’s the price of going into an actual bakery so I understand. The staff could have been a little more welcoming, the say me walking in but continued to have a conversation so I wanted a while before someone else helped me. But over all the cupcakes were very good!! My fiancé who isn’t much for sweets also had a few of them which I wasn’t expecting so they must have been pretty good ?
This was my first purchase from Sweet By Holly and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered a gluten-free cake and 6 cupcakes. The order process was quick and the local manager(Elise) called me to confirm my order. The delivery process was great and they were able to deliver the cake and cupcakes when I needed them. These were the best gluten-free cake and cupcakes that we have ever had! My wife has been gluten-free for 15+ years and she has tried many different gluten-free options over the years. We both were incredibly impressed!
We recently used them for our wedding cake and it was super easy and reasonably priced-They delivered the cake over to St Augustine without a hitch. I called a few weeks before to pay the balance, never followed up and they had the cake set up & looking great by the time the event started.Cakes of course taste amazing (if you've ever had a cupcake from them that is what they taste like) & the tasting process was super easy. You just go taste their mini cupcakes & there are so many flavors - your wedding cake definitely won't be boring.It also was absolutely beautiful and exactly how I wanted!
Sweet by Holly definitely has the best cupcakes in town! My wife and I met them at a bridal expo and fell in love with their cupcakes. They are beyond addicting. We ended up ordering 20 dozen varying flavors of their mini cupcakes for our wedding and all of our guests loved them. 10/10 would eat there again.
First time in yesterday and we’ve lived in Jax for a few years! I was happy to find a bakery that had cake by the slice. The cake, birthday cake something, was good and, while nonpareils are pretty, they’re not fun to eat…Thought I broke my tooth at one point. The flavor was good and there was a lot to choose from! But I had horrible customer service. I was the only customer in the store. There were 3 people working there and I told them it was my first time in. One guy just swiveled in his chair and didn’t say anything to me. One girl was working on orders right by the door and also didn’t look up. The woman who helped me didn’t know the flavors of the cake pops I was buying. When she handed me the bag I said, “thanks! I appreciate it.” And she literally turned to the other people working there and they were talking about who was going to close for who. She didn’t say, “you’re welcome, thanks for coming by,” didn’t acknowledge my presence. It was a weird exchange!
While I absolutely LOVE their cupcakes, I tried the new cake in a cup thing and I was so disappointed. The price is outrageous for a tiny piece of cake $5..like what? The cake did not taste that great for the price. The cupcakes are delicious and always so perfectly moist and yummy but these cake things are not so great and I still can’t get over the outrageous price
Sweet By Holly is amazing! I ordered a red velvet graduation cake and matching mini cupcakes (not pictured) in Plain Jane. Can we say MOIST and delicious, because that's what everything was! Everyone loved the red velvet cake and raved about the homemade icing.
Wish I could give them zero stars. I ordered some cupcakes for my sibling's birthday several days in advance to be delivered and they show up at my door with a box of whatever they felt like giving me (probably what they wanted to get rid of) and expect it to be okay because they gave me an extra dozen. Apparently they didn't make enough batter so didn't have enough of the flavors I ordered. Why wouldn't you call the customer if you have to make such drastic changes to their order? Only three of the flavors were actually what I ordered. I ordered what I did for a reason. And got left with cupcakes neither I nor my family even want. Asked for a refund but "the system is down" so all they were able to do was to give me gift certificates for more cupcakes. As if I even want to come back and place any kind of order with them. What if someone in my family was allergic to something they put in the random flavors they gave me? You never know. It doesn't make any sense to me why they wouldn't call if there was an issue. Terrible customer service.
Great job inside and out! Ordered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and it was delicious!
