All the food is so delicious! The collard greens were phenomenal. I usually don't enjoy fried food because the batter is usually all you taste. However Chef Art's fried shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and fried chicken were so tasty and light, you could taste the scrumptious food underneath the batter. Chef Art made us feel right at home, as if we were sitting his living room. His helper, Earl, brought us sweet tea that was perfect, not too sweet, just right. Earl checked up on us often to make sure we were getting everything we needed. It was such an enjoyable and delectable experience.

Foods always great. It may look like a little hole in the wall run down place but the food is great and so are the cook and employees. Never had a bad experience here. Reminded me of home back in the country.

Dirtiest kitchen I have ever seen. Chef walks around everywhere white flour and batter on his hands touching everything. Was there for an hour and a half and never washed his hands. Would give zero stars if I could.

Although the food was average, the restaurant itself was a pigsty. The tables had a film of dirt, and if your sleeves touched the table they came up black. Additionally, they ran out of just about everything those in the second room barely got a single serving.

Buffet style very rustic and small cooked by an awesome gentleman. Reservations required

The chef was very friendly I have to say. However, walking into this place was very sketchy. The chairs and tables look like they've been pulled out of the garbage and there's a lot of cross-contamination in the kitchen. By the time we got up to the buffet there was nothing left in the pans and when we went to pay we are being charged full price. He did discount the amount due to the fact that he ran out of food which is not an "all you can eat buffet" ( we complained) His response was next time I should make a reservation. I did have a reservation. I won't be going back EVER!

My extended family has had 2 get-togethers at Art's buffet on Sundays. Each time we were bowled over by the selections. Nothing is disappointing and everything is the best you've had, whether it be fried chicken, fish or shrimp, collards or squash, the best limas you've ever tasted, and the list goes on. His desserts will force you to partake even tho you're stuffed! And the chef brings more to your table and entertains you with his vibrant conversation. He's one of a kind and a treasure. I must also mention the amazing sweet tea!

I will say if you are looking for a clean environment this isn’t for you. But if you want awesome home cooked southern food this is it. It’s obvious Art does this for the love of the food and the neighborhood. Not many places like this left.

My husband and I stumbled across this place because of the reviews. The food was okay. The place was absolutely filthy though. Very hard to get past the conditions. If the place was cleaner it would deserve the reviews if you’re wanting a taste of southern cooking.

Great food, great chef ?‍? and great conversation with other patrons.
