Absolutely delicious BBQ!I recommend the pulled pork and the ribs with dry rub.The fried okra, potato salad, and coleslaw are excellent, too. Wash it down with their giant (32 oz. with refills) fresh brewed iced tea or Arnold Palmer.The meals are so big that you’ll likely get to take the leftovers home.Cheryl was our server. She came to the table with smiles, hospitality, and menu recommendations. Just a sweet gal. As we were leaving she gave us another giant soft drink in a to go cup.Not my first time or my last at this casual restaurant.Highly recommend Sonny’s BBQ!

They ran out of pulled pork and that raises couple red flags;1. You are a BBQ restaurant. Pulled pork is a staple in a BBQ restaurant. Last I checked, there are plenty of Boston butts for sale at the local grocery stores. This brings me to red flag #2.2. They had sliced pork but no pulled pork. How can you have sliced pork but run out of pulled pork if Sonny’s is smoking meat everyday like they say on their website? Is their meat pre-cooked and brought in frozen, thus being the reason they ran out of pulled pork? That’s the only reason that makes sense for them to run out of pulled pork. Be weary of the food quality.

I went back to Sonny's for some more of that fabulous SLICED pork. After getting a little menu advice from my waitress, I chose the pork 3 ways. ( pork and ribs) I'm not a huge fan of pulled pork so my waitress told me that I could get double sliced pork and ribs. It was spectacular!! She brought my plate to me using a hotpad! My food was hot and delicious. While I was waiting for my lunch, I was watching the waitress wiping down the table next to me. She was spraying the seats with sanitizer and wiping the sauce bottles. I asked her about how business had been impacted by covid and she told me how Sonnys had taken care of their employees during the shutdowns. I was really impressed to hear a person praise their employer and impressed to hear how much Sonnys looked out for their people.

Unfortunately, like many of the other restaurants near Julington Creek, a favorite spot turn into another frustrating food experience. I ordered our meal online to perhaps avoid the long wait. But never the less. Waited an additional hour after arriving at the pickup. Then perhaps justifying the wait, the burger ordered usually takes awhile...if it is cooked! This case I get home and it's raw.. Medium means pink. Not raw. In the past I've overlooked missing sides, drinks. But to what end?

Sonny's is very clean and comfortable. The food is great and priced right. I had the sliced pork lunch and the portions were great.

Plenty of parking despite the lack of visibility of where to turn to the actual parking lot. This brand location had the facelift they did at other locations and it is for sure more inviting and stylish. The addition of beer was for sure very nice. We ordered 2 beers and our server was very patient and knowledgeable about the beers and beer sizes. We ordered the beef brisket and the combo platter of chicken and ribs. My beef brisket was a bit tough but the beans and the bread were perfect. The other meal was just right. I definitely will give this place a chance again as the service was real good and our sever was very attentive. Prices were correct too considering the inflation! The restaurant was clean and all staff seemed to be doing what needs to be done.I recommend this location and I will be back too!

We had a great time here. I got the sampler plate and the ribs and brisket were really good and I enjoyed the pulled pork too. Chicken I thought was dry but that’s why it was a sampler. Everyone was friendly and our server Julie was great. My only complaint is it feels a little sad in the dining room. Not sure what it is. Maybe more light, or louder music. But food was enjoyable. Would go back!

No one behind the counter and only a few wait staff are wearing masks! Including the manager. Very disappointing experience!Ordered pork 3 ways. Was told 40 minutes. Arrive to find my food has been sitting for I was told 10 minutes or so. Dinner was cold and incorrect. She offered to remake. Manager apologized and told me how they'd gotten busy. Which is why the 40 minutes. Obviously their cooks are able to handle orders more quickly. New order was hot but incorrect. This was one dinner they couldn't get right.Bad experience poor management. I drive right by Bono's . Maybe next time I'll order from them! Advise to manager, your customers don't want excuses just the food they ordered on time and hot.
