Meat dry, dark meat, rib dry asked for meaty and fatty. Asked. To have shade pulled down from the reflection from the car. The people sitting there wouldn't let the waitress pull it down all the way. I moved my seat. Waitress not her fault. However she never came over to see how everything was. But boy when she saw my charge card she snatched it up. Very disappointing. Never had an experience like this here. Maybe quite a while before I come back. Sweet potatoes great.
Just okay. The okra was fantastic. The Ranch dressing had a distinct taste, like added mustard. My daughter liked it. The green beans were tasty. Ribs were okay, brisket was dry. Good enough, but not great. Kudos for offering to go cups for drinks.
I truly am grateful for this location so close to my home and with the convenient drive-thru. But the turkey I received on Easter Sunday smelled old and tasted old. I couldn't eat it. Maybe it had been previously cooked, refrigerated, then reheated and served. Or maybe it just sat out in the open for too long. I'm sure Easter was crazy busy. I just hope the management is paying attention to the quality of the food. Again, I appreciate this location. And was glad they were not out of sweet potatoes since that was the only part of my meal I could enjoy. Also, would be nice to at least have one napkin in to go order.
I love the food from this place. Its good every time we come. It's a shame to see them so short staffed though.I think we waited longer to be seated than it took for the food to come out.Staff was very friendly and the food was good. I'll definitely be back. Fingers crossed for more staff next time!
Absolutely love this location! Always greeted when walking in and seated pretty quickly! Waitresses are awesome and if you haven't ate here...definitely ask them bc they will definitely recommend something good that they actually tried! Definitely recommend the Carolina sandwich and no matter what you order...ALWAYS GET THE EGG ROLLS!!! They are so good and I'm obsessed!??❤
Always great food. Bbq done right. Large portions, attentive wait staff. Very casual, backyard BBQ atmosphere..I love BBQ and have tried most in Jacksonville, can always come back to what it's all about at Sonny's. The Atlantic Blvd location is always consistent, can't say that for all locations.
In a time when service has disappeared quality of food has left the building, the wife and I had a great lunch at Sonny’s. The food and service were both great.
Great Customer service does still exist!!! This location was perfectly perfect! Unfortunately, I didn't catch the team member's name that assisted me ?...However, that is not going to stop me from recognizing his efforts! ?........I am SUPER EXCITED to share my rare encounter with the world!! Everything was delicious. I even asked them to check to make sure that my chicken is juicy and moist and the last two times that I've been they have checked and it has been amazing. I know that it is not easy to smoke chicken but they have been doing a wonderful job.
Loved the chopped brisket. Huge portions, friendly staff. I wish they had 'skin on'/handcut fries though. Their fries were the crinkle cut like Ore-Ida frozen grocery store style.
