I used to love grabbing dinner or lunch at Shula's on my way out of town, the steak sandwich was to die for and you could have coleslaw instead of fries on the days you felt like being a little more healthy. That was before Covid of course and I think we've been at Shula's once dinner then and steak sandwich wasn't on the menu no mo.Tonight I traveled solo, so how better to spend an hour having passed through security surprisingly fast? Well, after waiting in "line" for a host/hostess, they said that the kitchen was "closed" and they were only serving drinks. This was 6pm and people with tables were still eating food from plates, so I'm hoping it was a temporary situation but didn't get the chance to ask before the host had gone again.Lucky for me that other places were open for food and drink, so they earned my business instead. While I realize and sense his difficult it is to get staff lately, the other places seemed to manage, so do they pay more?

Overpriced and allows screaming babies. I took my food to go after it had been plated as the staff wasn't going to do anything about the baby, like asking a parent to deal with the child away from patrons. So 46.00 for a chicken sandwich, fries, soda and Cosmo that I did not get to leisurely enjoy. Not a good atmosphere for pre-flight anxiety lowering dining. Would not recommend I'm air airport Shulas.

The restaurant is a seat yourself style restaurant. I was hoping to get a seat closer to the bar as this was the only TV playing the games (March Madness was in progress at the time). I am not sure why they didn't have the game on the TV. They have a QR system which is intended to allow you to order and pay for you food via website. I am not sure if this is a consistent issue or an issue that day, but the app experience was not very user friendly. The interface and responsiveness on the app really could use an update. Also, the staff seemed like they were not very happy with the app. I am not sure if its due to the fact the restaurant implemented the system in the first place (whereby potentially taking away their interface with the customers) or if they were annoyed with the app not working. Either way, the interactions with the staff were poor. Once I completed ordering on the app, the staff was coming around asking if folks wanted to order. There was lot of general confusion across the restaurant. I could tell that there were several frustrated and annoyed customers. When I informed the associate that I had ordered on the website, they left. They came back several minutes later asking if I wanted a drink, even though i had ordered a drink via the app. I was informed that you aren't supposed to order drinks via the website. The associate went and got the drink i ordered and never offered to refill my drink for the rest of service. It said that water would be provided but was never provided. The food was okay, nothing special. The food is really basic. Unfortunately, I was never provided napkins, utensils, etc. I was having such a hard time getting attention that I went and picked up these items on my own. Additionally, I saw other customers walking around grabbing ketchup, napkins, etc. The process to checkout took a very long time; I was fortunate I didn't have a flight to catch otherwise would have had to consider dine and ditching due to the poor service. There was one lady who took so long to get her food had to ask for it to go and then ended up getting charged twice. I was very disappointed with the experience.

Good airport bat. Working with self service ordering. Food and liquor order through app. Beer wine from human.

We arrived early to our evening flight and wanted a light meal before departing. Our first attempt at finding a seat was challenging. The server said she could get us food and drinks, but that seating was first come first serve. We abandoned and went to our gate to cleanup some e-mails. Upon returning less than 30 minutes later there were plenty of seats. Scanned the QR code and was able to order food while the waitress took our drink orders. Was able to pay for drinks and food all on my phone. Waitress was keeping up with the entire place. She did check on us to make certain if we needed anything else. Not bad for airport food and prices.

Waitress was very nice and helpful. They didnt have much of a menue. Had the lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail. Both were delicious. Really wanted a steak though. Would of given them a 5 if they had some.

Couldn't get a drink, couldn't get a check. Then they PROMISED they would email a receipt since they don't do paper receipts. The receipt never came.

Why must it be at the airport? We need one in Saint Augustine or even south Jacksonville for locals..getting in and out at airports to big a hassle

Shula's is an excellent airport eatery. Nice staff. Prices reasonable compared to the major terminals.

Best spot for a beer at JIA. Service is always quick.
