Went on a tuesday for a low key bday dinner for my husband. Service was impeccable with friendly staff and on point. All meats cooked to perfection. daughter had the chicken. AMAZING!
Mothers Day crowded but we had excellent service, fabulous food and a casual atmosphere. I will recommend and will be back soon
Great authentic Colombian cuisine!
I have taken friends to Salento's on 4 separate occasions and will be returning. Their steaks are tender, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The sides are also very good ... especially the vegetable kabobs, sweet plantains, and salad. Highly recommend, but don't want Salento to get too well-known.
Loved loved loved this place! The only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 was because we waited for over an hour to get seated and the young man that was the seating host was less than enthusiastic about helping us or giving us updates on our seating turn.We ended up sitting at the bar and the staff there was definitely more approachable and accommodating. We ordered our food at the bar but a gentleman… I believe he was one of the Managers, came up right before we got our food and asked us if we preferred a table and immediately sat us at one. He made sure that whatever we needed we got. Loved it!The food… my goodness! A Colombian dream feast! We shared a platter that was everything it promised and more! The drinks were amazing and the ambiance felt like a comfy visit home.The servings were more than enough and then some and worth re-experiencing the next day.This will definitely make my list of places to revisit the next time I’m in town.
My husband is Colombian and this is my favorite Colombian Restaurant when we’re in Jax.We’ve told a lot of our friends about this place as well. The beef empanadas are my favorite and always so fresh and so good. Their NY strip is my go to and is enough to share but not always consistent and sometimes really tough. It’s hit or miss.My husband likes their “chicharron” pork rind appetizer. Their service has become so much better throughout the years and not so slow like in the past.
I’m so happy I found this wonderful restaurant! The steak was one of the best I’ve had in 20 years, the atmosphere is friendly and has a very positive vibe about it. I highly recommend this place. My server Ana Christina was very nice as well. You’re missing out if you don’t come and enjoy this great place. ??Yo encanta muchas!!
Well when you walk in it uninspiring as it looks like a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall but do not be discouraged. This place has one of the best filet mignon steaks in Jacksonville for half the price of a place like Ruth Christs. They have a seasoning which really sells the prefect comes steaks. The employees are professional and very polite.
Great place, very relaxing environment and amazing food. Not to mention the prices are excellent. The staff is very friendly and treat you like family. Definitely check this place out.
My family loves this place. The food is incredibly delicious. The service is exceptional. Even my picky 11 year old lives visiting. She looks forward to the empanadas. The Yelp ratings are on point!
