We eat here all the time, absolutely love it. Their Anne and Godzilla roll is awesome!
We came here for my son's birthday they have absolutely the best sushi.
Sushi was tasty and fresh. We liked every one we ordered because it had the right balance of rice, veggie, and fish/seafood. The reason for the 5 stars though was the service response to a small issue with my takeout. Not only was the response apologetic and nice, they offered to remake it without hesitation. This gave me the impression they truly appreciate their customers. Thanks for making it right Sakehouse!
Prob my fav sushi place in Jax to eat at for strictly sushi (not hibachi). I've found their rolls to be fresh, not burdened with rice, cooked to order, and fresh ingredients. Their local roll concoctions are worth the extra $. There's an Annie roll with shrimp and tuna and slivered almonds that add a nice texture to the roll, for example.On a cool night, try eating outside.
Service was slow and annoying. The guy would ask us every 10 seconds he walked by… “you ready to order?” It got old after the 10th time. He finally disappeared. Then when we said we were ready he said… “hold on a minute” like wth ?♀️ Service needs to improve. Food was ok but nothing special.
We tried Sake House and really enjoyed it. If you check in on Yelp you can get hot sake for free or something else. We decided to try hot sake. It's not our taste.The food was amazing. We got chicken fried rice with extra egg not realizing how big the serving is. I wouldn't have ordered a side of fried rice if we had known. We each got a jimmy smith roll and it was good. A little too much cream cheese for my taste but not horrible.My partner really enjoyed his fried ice cream.We definitely will be back.
Our second time eating at this wonderful sushi restaurant, and my second 5⭐️ review.Very clean on the inside. Staff all wearing masks.The food which included a mix of cooked and sushi. Kids and adults all enjoyed the food. Great presentation. I love that they still have House Music playing over the speakers…not overly loud, nice ambient background volume.
I can double that, Swung up to Jacksonville for the opening Jags home game, and was feeling in the mood for some big time sushi. Found this little gem tucked away on of the side roads. Popped in and loaded up on sushi and fried ice cream. I was all about it. The sushi was well priced and the service was quick. The server himself was a little chilly, but that's alright I guess. The prices were definitely reasonable and the portion sizes were acceptable. So, would I recommend? Yes I would. Give it a go, and pass the wasabi.
