Staff were friendly and professional. Our Chef was so fun! Food was absolutely delicious!! I've been to other Hibachi restaurants by Orange park area and Gate Parkway. I truly enjoyed my experience here. Usually, I have more people in my party. This was the first time my party (3) was grouped with strangers (2 sets of couples). They were friendly as well. I'll go back again.
Experience is typical honestly, you've been to 1 you've basically seen them all.The food was good and the service was excellent. The rating is because they don't have normal hood systems over the grill, creating a smoking top layer to the atmosphere that sits on your clothes. The other is they only serve rice. I know I'm complaining but I don't like fried rice so I typically order noodles and since they don't serve then I'm forced to get double veggies. I would like to think a better resturaunt would offer options.Overall good to great experience, I'm just particular with what I like.
We've been to this restaurant plenty of times and our experience was always great but tonight was the best! We had a new Chef, Kevin who not only was very friendly but he gave us the best customer experience. Not only was customer service great but he seasoned the food JUST RIGHT! Usually we put a lot of yum yum sauce on our food to enhance the taste. The food was season so well, we didn't need it. Best experience ever at this place!
Didn't realize they were under new management until I read the reviews. Now I know why our experience was the way it was. We arrived at 5pm as soon as they opened. There were 4 of us, 3 of which traveled over an hour as we were meeting for girls night. I have been here numerous times which is why I was so confused at how rude the staff was. We were the 1st table to be seated. Chef arrived quickly around 5:10. The food was great. The problem was the moment the chef was done the server brought us our bill and asked if we needed boxes. Ummmm...maybe in a few minutes, as we still have over half a plate of food and we are still eating. She proceeds to bring boxes and leave them at the table. The couple across from us at our table were also still eating so it's not like we were being slow. It's probably around 5:40 at this point. We move the boxes to the side and continue to eat. She then comes over to our table and aggressively drops the new plates and silverware on the table and stands there staring at us. What in the actual heck? How rude!! It wasn't like we were just talking and not eating. There was no need to rush us through our dinner. We paid a lot of money for a meal that we had to scarf down simply because they couldn't wait to seat the next table. Rude and distasteful.
This place was awesome! The food was delicious our server Devon was excellent and very attentive. I will be requesting him from now on. The environment is relaxing and very beautiful. The habachi was so yummy. 10/10 experience. We will be back in the future for date nights. Thanks for the great food and service!
Always great when we come here. We had a newish cook who was awesome don't remember his name! His seasoning is on point! Was the best hibachi I've had in a long time!
Under new ownership this place still serves cabbage on the Hibachi, which is one of my favorite vegetables sautéed and I am glad they didn't get rid of it. However the last few times we've been here they are STINGY about how much they will give you. New owners didn't do much to this place and ventilation is still terrible.Aside from the above. One of the chef was entertaining - He cooked for other tables. Our chef had to be the manager or lead, because other tables were getting their food cooked and those parties were sat after us. There weren't many cooks in general and our cook was doused in cologne. He was also quite dull so I guess some things never change. Our sever was new and we could tell. He was all over the place and kept getting our orders wrong. Probably also explains why it took an hour for someone to start cooking. The edamame was NOT fresh and the sushi was terrible. At least the Hibachi was good and beers are somewhat cheap. Mixed drinks are still terrible. I keep coming back because of other people's birthdays. I'll probably keep complaining about the same things :-|

Used to be our favorite restaurant but not anymore. Since new owners came in the appearance has improved but service and sushi has been horrible! We were there a few weeks ago, server was rude and barely checked in with our table. We ordered Sushi and Hibachi. The hibachi was delicious and our chef Kevin was great! We waited until we were halfway done with our meal and after asking several times about our sushi we told the server to cancel our order (when she finally walked by and we could get her attention). As we were putting the rest of our food into boxes a manager brought our sushi to order the table. I told him we canceled our order, his only response was "so you don't want this?" I have worked in the service industry, I know sometimes there are bad days so we decided to give them another chance today. Service was better, Kevin was our chef again so hibachi was great. Again, our Sushi took forever and the order was messed up. Very disappointed!
The food was great and the cook did a excellent job; however I didn't like the fact that the waitress was forcing me to tip. She stated that the cook has to get paid; me and my family already tipped the cook for doing a fabulous job. I don't think I will be returning there, that waitress put a bad taste in my mouth.
