Ale House in general has gone downhill and this particular visit seemed no different.Went to dinner for a family members birthday and we were joined with some friends. The server came back like every 15 seconds asking if we were ready. I appreciate attention but this was rushed. She proceeded to do as some servers do now[which I'll go into more]. Finally decided what we wanted and placed the order.I placed an order for a Cesar salad to come out as my "appetizer". I was partially to blame because I was talking and forgot about it, but it ended up coming out with the food, which ended up being good because the food was not very good, and mine in particular was cold. This was surprising considering most of the staff was standing in the back by the bathrooms talking, so there should have been no reason for a delay, etc. I asked the server if she could heat my meal up bec it wasn't hot. Now it was warmer but hard. This is where the salad came into play - I ate my salad while waiting because I'm not sure why, but the recook took a bit. Again, everyone still had time to stand around and have a good time talking. We also had no drink refills, etc because she didn't come check. When she brought my food, filled the drinks, she literally did not come back till she came to see if we wanted the check.I ended up just boxing the meal up and taking it home because the rest of my party was done. I feel like the server was more interested in having a good time with coworkers than she was taking care of her only table. The restaurant had [maybe] 10 people in there at best on a Friday night and they honestly still didn't seem to care about those there. I didn't ask to speak with a manager to voice my concerns, but I'm surprised with the trouble we had, one didn't come over. Another member of our party ordered a steak, med-rare and was surprised that it was really under rare. I guess it's better than over cooked?
Terrible experience ! i came into the restaurant at lunch time. there was no host standing at the front. greet me. The to-go server walks up to the to-go counter and tells me she's not a host she's is only handling to go orders.finally i get tire of waiting and seat myself. the waiter comes over and i immediately ordered a sweet tea and zinger salad (my fav). Now i have been coming to ale house for over 12 years. This is what my salad looked like when it was brought out.I don't believe in sending food back as a fear or would tampered with ... but this what was brought to me
Met my older(24) son for late lunch with my younger son (his brother) (4) <<<
Stopped in after our grandsons graduation and had an excellent experience. Miracle, our server, treated us well and made our visit fun. On the other hand the kitchen didn't serve all of our dinners together. The sandwiches took 20 minutes .ore than expected. Still loved the atmosphere and we had a fun time.
I drove from the northside to the southside and stopped at the ale house by regency square mall in Jacksonville Fl between 9-10 o’clock on April 24 2022 I tried to place a order Cajun chicken pasta without the chicken if that’s how you had to ring it up with the chicken that’s cool I just wanna add salmon to the side she repeatedly told me she can’t do it like that not to mention this not my first time ordering this instead of her coming up with a way to ring it up she just treated me like I was wasting her time I politely drove to southside Blvd (deer wood) and they were glade to assist me I appreciate it (jaz)on deerwood that’s been working only 2 days!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE…
I loved it amazing food, great experience. Not sure why the bad stars. I almost didn’t go cuz the bad reviews but I can assure you it’s not because of the food. The food is amazing
Omg the food is so good there an my BF an I love going there the staff is always so friendly
Just a heads up for anyone ordering curbside. When you're on the website and place your order, you put in your color, make, and model of your vehicle, because you are told they will walk the food out to you. They do NOT bring you your food. I waited 15 minutes over the given pickup time, as there are numerous 'we're hiring' signs out front and around the property, so I'm thinking they're short staffed; this is after confirming my arrival through the website and the automated text message. I go in and tell them the situation to find out my food has been sitting there, done, for about 20 minutes. I sent the "I'm here" 3 minutes before by order was done, and it sat on the counter for another 17 minutes. I checked the food before I left and it was room temperature at best. I asked if they could remake it, or atleast pop it in the microwave, and if neither, I could get my money back. No, no, and no.TL;DR - can't say if dine in is any good, but they fail drastically at curbside. I won't be online ordering un the future.
I'm so sorry I love the ale house but not this one. I usually eat at Hodges or orange Park but decided to go to this one by regency. Could not eat outside and our waitress honestly seem like she was on Xanax then I watched another waitress walk around like a zombie then I realized there was hardly anybody in this place and now I know why. The food was fine drinks were great but the service horrible I was a waitress at a bartender for a living for 30 years and I'm sorry I could have ran circles around them even at 43. I promise you I will never go back to that one.
Food and drinks were great but I'm pretty sure our server kept forgetting us. She put the blame on other people as well. "Oh they didn't bring you your drinks yet" when she brought us everything else including our first round of drinks. We waited over 20 minutes for the check after asking. We rarely even seen her at all. It was not busy what so ever.
