Great experience with Stacey this morning.I went back the following day and was greeted by the morning Team of Jacqueline, Brandon, Rachel and Chris. These are really great people!! Everyone was very attentive - as if my table was assigned to everyone to ensure that my experience was beyond expectations (and it was). The service was fantastic, the food incredible, and the atmosphere - pleasant. It was a great way to start my day!! This is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Jacksonville, and it all starts with the Metro Team! Thanks to all of you for what you do!

Stopped here on the way home from a weekend stay in St. Augustine 5 years ago. We had mimosas, egg’s Benedict (which is my favorite), and tried chicken and waffles for the first time. The waffles and the chicken on their would have been just as good - they’re amazing! But together was another experience that I had always been too skeptical to try but was so glad I did! I’ve tried ordering chicken and waffles since going here but I have yet to find any as good. The waffles are so delicious, and they make this amazing strawberry butter that goes so good with it, it’s better than having it with syrup. And the chicken was some of the best fried chicken I think I have ever had in my life! While standing in line for the bathroom, there were pictures of the owners of the diner with Guy Fieri. Apparently, they had been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and rightfully so. Highly recommend.
We came to this place for the first time today with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. I got avocado and tomato toast and it was delicious, you can tell that everything was fresh and I love the fact that they have vegetarian options. My boyfriend got the breakfast burger with fries and grits and he could barely finish it because it was A LOT! Not a complain at all. He loved everything. We couldn’t finish it and we brought the leftovers with us.Our waitress was Rachel, she was lovely and very quick with everything, checked on us all the time without bugging us. Overall all the coworkers there seem friendly and professionals. The manager came to check on us as well.10/10 experience. We’ll definitely come back.
What can I say about my favorite place. Clint takes the best care of us every Thursday and Friday morning. Chris and the entire team sets the bar for every Metro Diner in the country. When I'm traveling I look for a Metro and I measure them to the service I get at my home store. Love y'all ?
They have a decent menu with decent prices. I ordered the Turkey Dinner. The gravy tasted like jar or canned gravy. Very salty. My grandsons did enjoy their meals. One of them took his home and had it the next day. This place is good for a so-so meal.
My husband and I absolutely love Metro-Southside! The food has never been disappointing. The staff are so friendly… we feel so welcomed every weekend. It feels like one big family!! ❤️
Consistent quality meals and service at very fair prices. While the food is great, the customer service is exceptional. Stacey, Chris, the cooks, along with the rest of the staff work together as a team... everyone supporting one another.Being long time customers with our family and friends, we never feel rushed. With breakfast being our favorite meal, it is a great way to start the day.
I wanted a local restaurant where I could get good breakfast while visiting from St. LOUIS, Missouri. I tried the steak scramble and it was good. I also came back a 2nd time and got the chicken tenders and waffles amazing! I definitely recommend you to eat here ! I will be back next time I'm in Jacksonville, Florida
I LOVE this metro! The food is AMAZING and the staff is EVEN BETTER. Rachel is HANDS DOWN the BEST waitress i have EVER had in ANY restaurant that I have ever been to! She is the perfect mix of quick and personable, and went so ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that my experience was FANTASTIC. I feel like she GENUINELY cares about her customers, which is EXTREMELY hard to find nowadays. Give that girl a raise!
