Amazing evening out. Everyone was so friendly as you entered the restaurant. It started with one of the best pomegranate martinis I ever had. Our server Jessica was excellent and all the servers that came to the table paid attention to detail. The most impressive part of the evening was the impeccable style of chef Justin. We had the 6 courses chef’s adventure tasting menu and I cannot say enough about the cuisine. The harmony of flavors and the mastery of technique with the plating presentation was magnificent. The chef came to the table to explain each plate that was presented. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the dishes he prepares and you could see his personality come through in the way the dishes were plated and the flavors that came through with each plate. With the cuisine Justin is preparing this restaurant could be a Michelin star restaurant in notime. By the way I am gluten free so the chef had to make changes to my dishes only. I cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely be visiting Matthew’s again.

Moved to Jacksonville October of 2021. Have tried numerous restaurants, including some other location of the Medure family, but this one was certainly the best. Till now, Orsay was number 1, but Matthew’s has now become our favorite.

Everything was wonderful. The service was very organized and everything worked like clock work.

Amazing! We had the Chef tasting menu and we’re not disappointed. Kudos to the Chef! Our server David was also amazing and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend Matthew’s

First off, I love Matthews--it has been my favorite restaurant in Jax for years. Last night, something in the kitchen was just off. And this has never happened to me at Matthews. As always, the service was outstanding. We especially enjoyed impeccable care from Bow. But our entrees were very disappointing. I had the scallops and the other three in the party had the halibut. All three servings of the halibut were very dry and overly salty. My scallops were quite undercooked. Even the souffle was average at best. It was lacking in flavor. An aside, I am not fond of the new dinner ware. Plating an entree on a dark ceramic plate does not do justice to the food. It doesn't frame the food, or allow the colors or textures to be appreciated. I'm no expert, of course, but thought I'd just comment on this aspect. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the request.

Very classy restaurant with excellent service but small portions of good, not great food.

We met friends for dinner and had a fabulous time.

Everyone at our table gushed at the level of service as well as the quality of the food. While each of us enjoyed tremendously the food that we ordered, all of us are anxious to return and order something ordered by someone else. EVERYTHING was at the highest level. The quality of the food and the service by everyone from the valet to the person greeting you at the door. We felt as if everyone working there was ready to ensure that our experience was memorable...and it was!

My husband and I had a delightful dinner celebrating our anniversary. We both ordered the chefs daily six course special dinner and it was delicious! We were not told what the courses would be so everything was a surprise which made it quite fun and exciting! Each course was prepared in such an interesting, unique and flavorful way with such a beautiful presentation. Our server was so knowledgeable and kind in explaining each course in detail. He was very attentive throughout the entire evening. It was indeed a wonderful experience!

As expected the food, service and ambiance were phenomenal!
