Great portion size. The gentleman was very nice. Relaxing atmosphere. My husband and I will definitely visit again
We were in the mood for some Jamaican cuisine while at the barbershop. So we went by Mad O on the way home. We are fans from here on out. The oxtails were tender and rice and peas soft n fluffy. The curry shrimp was good as well. Of your in the mood for a quick bite to cocoa bread n patty will hit the spot too. Thank you Mad O! Bless up.

Maaaaan, Listen!!! You gotta stop in here! I've been eating island cuisine my whole life and this place is phenomenal. The menu is full of gems and you've gotta add a side of plantains to whatever you eat (a must!). Can't say enough about the conch fritters, either. To boot, the owner is one of the nicest people you'd come across. 5 star!
Horrible food ! Cook will handle money and go right back to making your food without washing his hands . How gross can one be ! We Ordered Oxtail and Jerk chicken which the Oxtail was pale to the color and had no taste of oxtail seasoning . Tasted like Stew chicken to be honest . On top of paying $17+ for the oxtail plate , the cabbage was old tasted as though it was sitting since morning . Now this was Dinner time . Came with no plantains which would have been expected for the price we paid . My partners Jerk chicken plate was $12+ and he barely had chicken in his plate . Chicken had tiny tiny pieces . At this point what an insult to a paying customer who’s order was almost $40. We’ve paid $12 else where for a lot bigger portion for the same price . Honestly this business has let us down so many times and we keep coming back bc it’s convenient but it’s the last straw for us . If you’re going to raise your price make sure you raise your standards on how you prepare your “Island food” for people and how you serve them . Not to mention its always filthy looking inside , table are always dirty from prior customers. I would drive an extra hr or 3 to find better food than to waste my money here again . Disgusting ?
I got takeout for my loved ones and I over the weekend because Chicken and Delish closed earlier that evening. This place came through and we ordered in person after 9pm and they did a wonderful job on our food. We got the Swai fillets, crab cakes and clam strips. Delicious ?! Oh and their beignets were absolutely divine ?. We will be returning so I can try their gumbo and jerk chicken!
Great first meal in Jacksonville! Yummy curry shrimp, fish and chips and veggie patty. I wish this place was near where I live! Than you for your friendly vibes!
It's wonderful! The jerk chicken is incredible, the shrimp with potatoes and plantains equally so. Round out the meal with an order of beignets and you're having an excellent time!Love it
My husband and I have been here for lunch a couple of times. Today we stopped by and had the jerk chicken and the yassa chicken. They were both awesome! The sauces were flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and attentive. We're already planning what we will have the next time we eat here. One word of advice- make sure you have a chardonnay in the refrigerator and a red wine as well. We'll be bwck!
