Food is terrible.Cut Mirchi was so hard in texture. It was a struggle to eat, so i quit. I think a wrong flour or a mixed flour was used to make better.Dal Makani - It was kidney beans or rajma, just heat up from a fridge storage.Naan- Again someone should teach them how to cook naan.Sambher Vada- It was fine and good to eat.Food is not authentic Indian, which they claim. I’m reviewing this in a capacity that I’m from North India and traveled across the country.

1 Star only because the naan was good, the rest was gross. Ordered 2 meals as take-out through the web and paid in advance, it was between meal times, so they weren't busy. I showed up when the app said to and had to wait 15 minutes more for the order. Got home, there was a solid inch of oil sitting on top of the curry, I drained off as much as I could, but there was still so much the sauce had split. I poured each dish over rice hoping the rice would soak up some of the oil, but it wasn't enough to save it. Started eating anyway, my husband's was much hotter than the medium he ordered, but I'll focus just on my experience. I had ordered korma, extra mild. Two bites in and I feel something like rubber and suddenly my mouth is on fire, there was a whole dried chilli hiding in the oily sauce. Upon inspection I found 2 more... seriously 3 whole chilis in one little cup of what was supposed to be extra mild. I take my next bite, something new rubbery, it's a whole bay leaf they didn't bother to remove. I was done at this point and sorry I had ruined my rice with this disgusting sauce, and so my meal was just Naan, the rest went in the garbage. My husband managed to finish his but felt terrible later. I've eaten at almost all the Indian restaurants in town and in several other cities, and this is the worst Indian food I've ever come across. I have some coworkers from India who also agree the food at Maa's is awful. There are too many other Indian restaurants in Jax that serve good food for me to ever try this place again, it's just not worth it.

Awesome experience to be here for the first time. Food was good and good quantity as wellBiriyani is not so great but dal and Bhindi fry is awesome. Average on the ambiance not so fancy but for a family dinner for Indian group it will be good

The meal was cooked to order, hot and fresh which was excellent! However, when I ordered the food today on the phone, I could not understand hardly anything the man was saying to take my order. He spoke very fast and with a very heavy accent. Went to go pick up the food and my order wasn’t even in the system. It would be nice if they have someone answer the phone that’s fluent, clear and understands both languages . Overall, excellent hot food and ordering online or in person may be better.??

Out of all the Indian restaurants in town, this one is our favorite. Their food has consistently been fresh whereas the other places have been a hit or a miss. They do like to shove the basmati rice down our throat which we don’t care for so we’ve made sure to ask to replace with naan.

Amazing food. The best biryani that you can get in Jacksonville. We recently ordered for catering services and they gave us great food at very reasonable cost and everything tasted delicious.

Good food, but there’s no bar as advertised on their website

I think we found our new favorite Indian place! Both dishes were amazing and had tons of food! Staff was great and we cannot wait to get back again.

Great food. I cannot wait to go back and Try something new.
