I am officially done with this place. Before they shut down the food was always perfect, afterwards, it has NEVER been right unless they are remaking my food. Ordered a sunrise burger medium with an over medium egg. The burger is well done and egg cooked until the yoke is completely hard and disgusting. I usually go once a week but after the 4th time of this same thing I am done. I’m sick of having to call the manager and explain to him the same thing over and over. He is a good guy and has always made it right but they just can’t get it right at this point and I don’t have time for this anymore. There’s to many places to get a good burger to deal with it anymore. Make sure you check your food before you leave or you will be disappointed. The following pictures are supposed to be a medium burger and over medium egg. The 2 easiest things in the world to get right and they just can’t. After reading some reviews O see the owner reply’s to the good reviews but ignores the bad, that always speaks volumes on how a place is run. It really is a shame because when they get it right it’s amazing but I can’t support this place anymore.
I met friends here for lunch, we hadn't been here before and we were met with excellent service ? helpful. The food was delicious especially the milkshake. We were happy we got here before the Sunday lunch as the place filled up fast. Planning on going back order something else. This time I ordered the vanilla milkshake, portobello burger and truffle fries I was very happy
We waited 20 minutes to order which was fine, it was a busy Saturday night. What was not fine was the 40 minutes I then waited for a shake. A few minutes later they came out to tell us they were out of the food 2 of the 3 of us ordered. We had already been here over an hour at that point. We ordered something else but apparently they were out of some veggies too. Burgers were over cooked. Food was just okay. Only thing I'd recommend would be the peanut butter screwball shake. It took all had to give 3 stars.
Burgers were phenomenal! Outdoor seating was a pleasant experience.
This place was so awesome. I enjoyed eating here. I loved the Chicago Dog I got. It was delicious and their fully loaded totts are great as well and the fries. The shake is great as well, they have some spiked so you get a little buzzed with something sweet.
Me and my boyfriend would come here every now and then and always love going to this place, but tonight was not the night. I asked for my meat cooked medium, and this very much looks raw. I didn’t want to say anything because I noticed they put up all the chairs up & they were closing. But definitely lost my appetite for the night. And hopefully the next time I come back, it’ll get done right!
My quest for better burgers leads me here. It’s at town center so window views can’t be counted unless you’re a people watcher rather than mountains or oceans. This “swamp burger” mixes a lot of great flavors together. Very enjoyable. Big city living in the big city of Jacksonville.
Always great service. Their insanity burger is my boyfriend's favorite while I enjoy the cross-fit. So yummy!
My family and I visited M shack Monday December 27, 2021 happy hour. I noticed as I was I was waiting in line that there was a pre made fries and tater tots sitting under a heating lamp. Now after spending over $40 for food I thought to myself I wonder how long the fries and tots had been sitting and that they would not dare bring out old food. We waited on our order and I had to inquire out it. I was standing off to the side and an employee was fixing our food, he adjusted a burger got some on his glove. For some reason he removed his mask grab a napkin and wipe his hands and then put his mask back on, didn't make sense but ok. Now the kicker is they grab those old fries and now I paid full price for tots and he grab old tots and put it on my tray. Now I was still standing there and I had to prompt another employee that my food was ready. As I figured the fries and tots definitely were NOT fresh. I feel for establishment like M Shack known for food being made fresh should not offer free items if you are unable to keep up with making fresh food because of lack of help. Your prices are to high for your food not to made fresh. I felt I could have went to McDonald's to get average food for a much cheaper price tag.
