We vacationed in this area to get away and visit friends. First, read carefully the negative reviews. If someone cannot identify clearly what they ate, that should be a red flag. My wife and I take reviews seriously and are candid with feedback. We stayed at a True Hilton in the area and the young lady working at the front desk highly recommended this restaurant. We went on our first day and it was phenomenal! Our server, Jeymarie, was extremely nice and explained the popular menu items. The arroz con gandules, mofongo, and bistec is super delicious! You need to try the sorullo with queso as an appetizer! We returned the second day with our friends. Unfortunately, Jeymarie was not working. Our friends loved the bistec and they really liked the chicharon de pollo. We went back by ourselves the third day and excited that the waitress, Jeymarie, was working. I had the red snapper fish and it was top notch and my wife had the bistec again. We highly, highly, highly recommend to eat here. If you're a local, please support this restaurant. We're from the state of NC and we'll return to Jacksonville in the near future. We will be eating here when we return! Ask for Jeymarie to serve you as she does a stupendous job!
Who doesn’t like a good Latin meal. One never leaves hungry. Nice portions.Had the shrimp mofongo & red snapper.They don’t mix the shrimp & plantains here- cooked separately. Still tasty.Nice size fish- really enjoyed.Neighborhood atmosphere.Never disappoints.

If you love latin food, this IS the place to go. Monchi provides a delicious variety of Dominican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican dishes. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere festive, with salsa, merengue, and bachata music playing in the background.

We love this place! Excellent Caribbean/ Latin food. I thoroughly enjoyed the cube steak with onions and my hubs loved his roast pork. Hubs said the black beans are to die for. The seasonings are spectacular. The real show stopper, for me though, is the maduros with garlic butter. Yum! The staff mostly speaks Spanish, but can get by well enough in English. Service is warm and our food came out quickly. Prices are excellent. Decor is a little lackluster, but this place remains a very popular spot for good reason. I highly recommend Latin House Grille for casual but delicious dining.
Food and service are amazing especially the food i went back this weekend after years and took my wife and family they immediately fell in love with it was there 1st time no comparison to any other I'd rate them 8 stars if i couldRoast pork yellow rice pigeon peas highly recommended

Guys, this is the place to for latin food. Delicious platters and very good service. Also, if your looking to have fun on a Saturday night or Sunday, great Kareoke and lots of fun.
