Be prepared: Your food is made to order, so plan ahead. My order took about 20 mins to prepare. If you're ordering a ton of food, it's not going to made in under 30 mins.I ordered a chicken bun and a rice dish with fish and an egg. Everything was delicious! I'll eat here again next week when I'm in town for classes. The ladies of this establishment are hard working, so please tip them if you can!
Delectable Filipino food prepared with care and expert seasoning. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful with making choices.
We just moved to JAX from DC and we're on a quest to find a good Filipino eatery in the area. Kusina is by far the best home-cooked food there is and the price, oh so reasonable! The cafe is inside an office building, bright, neat and tidy. The view is stunning. Just too bad they're closed on weekends. The quality, freshness, and authenticity of the food will keep you from coming back. Guaranteed! We come back every chance we get. We're very pleased a place like this exists in JAX.
When it comes to fresh baked Filipino goods or made-to-order dishes of all kinds, this is the place especially if you want to grab a good lunch or brunch during work hours if you're in the SouthPoint area. Not only do they serve entree dishes, they also have family meals that you can either take immediately from their fridge or have them made to order (it'll just take a few hours). The one thing that makes them more unique is the presentation of their food and especially their deserts, such as the Ube Tiramisu cake which is just delectable and soft to the bite without feeling too empoweringly sweet. I have had their milk fish bowl, their bala-bola siopao, shrimp ukoys, and lumpia and my only complaint is their lumpias are quote tiny, although I think that is on purpose to be snack sized. I'll definitely update this review as I eat more from there but it's a great place to get food, you won't regret it!
Hidden gem in Jax! Found this place by accident. The pansit bihon is made to order and it was so delicious! Reminds me of the pansit my grandma used to make. Also the Sans Rival was really good. I have yet to find a filipino store that sells them. I would like to try the Ube Flan cake next. I highly recommend them if you like filipino food!
Did not got a chance to try the rest of the menu, since I was rushing that day, so I bought some baked goods…Siopao was one of the best pork siopao, I have ever tasted in the Jax ( the dough was fluffy and chewy, in a good way) and it was affordable, too..) sooo good!!!However, the Ube cake on the other hand, I really could not call it a Ube cake, because there’s no Ube in or on it, it’s just a food coloring, the cake itself is very airy and soft, it was not too sweet, which I like..What I am looking for was Ube Halaya, or anything that signifies ube, so I can call it an UBE CAKE..Still, I will definitely go back for Siopao and maybe try their combos..
SO GOOD. We got the chicken and pork bowls and they were phenomenal. Also got the lumpia and siopao and they were excellent as well. So glad I found this place, will be coming back again!
Best Filipino food around. Large portions at a very reasonable price. Loved the Bangsilog!
Great food at an even better price.
This was a wonderful affordable yet absolutely delicious afternoon Filipino restaurant located within an office building. The food was amazing and cooked to order (so you will have to wait a bit). There is a vast array of options available to choose from, from a basic sausage biscuit to adobosilog - which was what I got. The food was very filling, tasty, and a good bang for your hard earned bucks. This place has something for everyone. I highly recommend this as your go to lunch break establishment.
