I literally paid forty dollars for 10 pieces of sushi. I never leave reviews unless I have amazing or very poor service. This is very disappointing to pay that much and get literally 10 pieces of sushi.
Some of the best sushi we’ve had at the beaches!! Our usual sushi places closed down for rebranding so we decided to try Kamiya and we’re not disappointed. The sushi was fresh, service was great, atmosphere was cool - all in all a great experience. 10/10 recommend!
Always fresh tasting sushi. Nice large pieces. A little expensive but quality sushi is worth it. The best at jax beach
Solid sushi and rolls. Fish is of good quality, and the rolls are predictable offerings mixed in with some creative twists. We haven't had a single disappointment. Our usuals are maguro (tuna), hamachi (yellow tail), sake (salmon) and unagi (eel). The spider rolls and salmon avo rolls are also excellent. If you're a fan of salmon, then the king salmon rolls are definitely a go to.Even their hibachi offerings are solid (for those that won't eat raw). Don't rest on their steak, it's legit.
I have been a few times and the food has always been good. However- I went in last night and had a completely different experience. The prices listed in the menu are not the prices I was charged. There were $4-5 discrepancies with every dish. When I asked about this the waiter proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong. When I SHOWED him the menu pricing he simply walked away angry. He then came back with another lady who quite literally ripped the menu out of my hand and pointed to a teeny-tiny disclaimer printed on the bottom saying their prices are subject to change at any time with no notification.I cannot fathom treating patrons this way- even if it is a policy- we deserve respect and fair treatment. Explaining things rational will get better reviews. As for now I plan to never return. I don't mind paying more if there's a good reason- but I deserve the decency and respect to be spoken to like a human being.Do better.
The decor is ridiculous it’s like being in a cheap night club. there are multi colored LED lights everywhere that constantly change color. Some of the walls are a white stone with shiny reflective grains that reflect light that didn’t help. I thought I was going to have a panic attack. I went on a Monday and there were only a handful of people in the whole restaurant and it was still loud. The music was terrible and the food was mediocre at best. I wouldn’t recommend going on a weekend unless you’re with your wife. you can’t be blamed for not listening to her.
Overcharged. On the lunch menu- the pricing says $15 for hibachi chicken, I was charged $17. It also says kids under 3 eat free (I was accompanied by a 2 year old and stated that to the server.) -I was charged $10 for the kids meal when appearing on the menu at $9 for children over the age of three. I left this restaurant feeling cheated and will not be back. I have worked in food and beverage for many years. The server should have stated in the beginning before I ordered : that the pricing on the menu that I was looking at and the pricing on the menu on the front door, was not going to be what I was going to pay. After speaking to management- she informed me that they didn’t want to reprint menus with new pricing.
You can't beat the happy hour prices!! Food quality and customer service is outstanding here. Great drink selection also. This is our new go to happy hour for sushi.I will caution the other location in Neptune Beach is nowhere near the same and I would stick with this one.Lobster General roll, Kimaya roll, everything we tried was amazing! Try the duck roll appetizer for something new, warm and uniquely good!

The thai rice with shrimp was tasty. I like the mongolian beef box, my only suggestion is rice portion was to little.
