Finally found a restaurant that has a true Muffeletta sandwich. It was delicious. Their fries are really good. The antipasto salad was huge and filling. Great service in one of Jacksonville's historic restaurants. You can also get pizza by the slice which is a plus when you have multiple diners in your group.
Not our typical Friday night Pizza night... Trying out Jacksonville's oldest pizzeria and an excellent Italian restaurant ?Update. My son had the kid's pizza. They gave him his toppings and crust and let him build it by his self. Then they took it back and baked it. Lucky him he has 6 months left to do this the kids menu cuts off at 12 years old.Overall great pizza and very filling. We had a medium build yourself pizza. We were there I wanna say less than an hour and maybe 15 mins. Service was excellent. The place was busy but not loud at all. I didn't catch the hostess' name but the way she was of service had me thinking she was definitely a member of the family that runs it. Our waitress was very accommodating. She kept checking in on us making sure we were doing ok. We also ordered dessert to go: a red velvet cake slice and my absolute favorite oatmeal cookies..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Caleb reviewed as soon as we walked out. He prefers to order and pick up for next time my two toddlers are busy little people and not the easiest to eat out with We've been passing this place not far from our house and he's been begging me to try it. I'm so glad he loves it and got to experience it.
Honesty considering how great I was told the food was here I feel let down literally none of the $55 dollar worth of food I brought tasted any good. If the was good but not up to what I was expecting I would have done 4 stars but the food literally tasted awful to where I just trashed it all and ate cereal instead! Thing I tried pepperoni pizza, I wantedj the Joseph pizza without olives and anchovies since both make me violently ill but both were added anyway so I didn't touch that pizza, and a cheese pizza, a lasagna,cheese garlic bread and a salad. The reason I gave 2 stars at all was because of the amazing customer service lady running the register and Togo/ pick-up orders! Despite that I can't recommend this place.
I honestly don’t know where they get there 4.6 review because all of the food we ordered was very disappointing. Everything was cold and bland. We asked for the wings to be extra crispy and they weren’t even regular crispy like wings should be. The garlic knots was just bread with sprinkled garlic on it and no butter. The stuffed mushrooms, meatballs and sausage tasted like it was straight out of a can. We spent $100 and there was not one thing we enjoyed.
BEST PIZZA in the South!!!In my opinion love the food ,staff is very polite and friendly!! Excellent service eat in or take out!! If u haven't been, YOU are missing out!!
Had a problem with our food order and the staff went above and beyond to correct the problem and we were humbled by the staff at the actions they took. There are very few unfortunately that would go beyond what they did to serve their guests. Very good food and service ! Please stop by..you will not be disappointed !
Family oriented and friendly. Make reservations, this is a popular place and very busy
This was my first time here and this will not be the last time. They also have a location at the beach. My family and I got a large half and half pepperoni and cheese.I almost forgot to take a pic it was just that good!!! The service was awesome and very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. I also met the queen of the house mama Rose who was such a gem a true people person.The cheesecake was bomb!! I mean if you want authentic Italian food give them a try!
Had about a cup of olive oil in my pasta so it was ok, pasta was cooked right. Spent over 100 dollars and have to say I miss how it use to be even the Joseph's pizza they're famous for is different not at all like I remember. One big plus was the male server we had was outstanding very nice so he's not confused with other servers he's the older gentleman who even held the door open for us as we left.
