I drove across Jacksonville because I wanted a cool dinner on a hot night. I saw the menu and reviews and chose this place. I am very disappointed. Not a great 1st impression. Half of my chicken Caesar SALAD wrap had 4 quarter pieces of lettuce on it. I shouldn’t be able to count how many pieces of lettuce are in a salad wrap. If I wanted a chicken sandwich with a little bit of lettuce, that’s what I would have ordered. With the key word being salad wrap it should have more lettuce in it than provided. I also ordered a macaroni salad and they never put it in my bag. I was going to give a 1 but I gave it a 2 because the man who helped me was polite and made my son laugh. Service was good. When I paid $26.00 for 2 wraps. I expected to be blown away with a big delightful wrap.
Cheaper than Panera, better than McAlisters, more delicious than either - but this is just one man’s humble opinion.Perhaps my judgment is clouded by nostalgia; after all, I did grow up eating at the original location in Beaumont, TX.The California Club (on croissant) and the Beefeater (pictured below) are my go-to menu items. When I moved to Gainesville I was looking forward to Jason’s, which was listed on google maps, but alas it had become yet another casualty of covid.This sandwich always hits the spot - the light smattering of what I can only guess is French onion sauce sends it over the edge.Sub the standard ruffles for baked lays and add a sweet tea - it danceth on the palate like Tyreek Hill after a Super Bowl TD.
I used to eat here regularly. The customer service has gone down hill. I have been at the counter trying to place an order with an employee six feet away just ignoring me. Another employee asked them if they were going to assist and they said they were busy. The least he could have done was acknowledge I was waiting to place an order and told me he would be with me in a minute. I guess they are too busy to take my money. Seems like a losing business model.Hopefully management gets their customer service in order before too many regulars do the same as me and find other establishments.
I've been coming to this location for several years. Before our office closed due to Covid, I had also ordered catering, dined in and ordered to go so my review is based on several experiences. I can tell you this is one of the most consistent restaurants for above par, fresh food. The salad bar offers excellent selections, is clean, and stocked, the prices are are fair, and portions are excellent. Not one time has my order been incorrect. The food is always hot/cold when it should be/ At a time when staffing is down everywhere, the entire crew will speak to everyone and let you know they are working hard to get to everyone as quickly as possible (and I can tell it's sincere). I really appreciate this and will keep coming back. I highly recommend Jason's Deli. If you're on the fence about a side salad, don't be . Just get it. You won't be sorry!And thank you to the team! You should all be proud of the food you make! You are appreciated!
The salad bar is our favorite! It used to be all you can eat, but now it a one trip deal. They do give you a big bowl for the salad bar so it turned out ok. The shrimp gumbo soup was great! The people were great and helpful! We will be back!
Always a good place to pick up a quick meal. The workers are always nice. The prices are cheap. Pasta bowls are always good. Sandwiches are hot or miss.
The service is excellent. The people are so nice and live getting their food. The only draw back for me is that they no longer wear masks and although I know is not a mandate anymore. I am still concerned with safety. Needless to say they are highly recommended.
The wild salmon wich is delicious - first salmon sandwich experience went above and beyond my expectations - super fresh thank you!
12 empty tables, each covered in filth and dishes. An older couple asked if they could get a tabled cleared, Manger said "were doing the best we can, its busy." Then watched them move dishes to a different table. It's not too busy to clean, especially with 12 empty tables and 8 people behind the counter....
Every time I have eaten here, it's been such a great meal. Fresh ingredients. Love the staff. Very personable.
