For one it flies flying inside and look like some of the meat out too long. But anyway they had good business a lot of people were coming in and out picking up there orders.

I’m so happy people started walking in behind us to order she was ready to close and I understand that but it was literally 45 mins before she had to close and being new customers she could’ve been a little more welcoming. But that’s fine when we get the news here just understand that’s how confused we were. By the way standing waiting for our order not once she mention to anyone else she was shutting down. She took people orders with no hesitation. So yea I’m definitely confused on that. But not for long. -from your confused customers

This is the second time I’ve visited this establishment while visiting Jacksonville. The first time, they gave me the wrong order but we had left the area. The food was just okay. We decided to try them today since they fry fresh fish and had blue crabs. My husband decided to get the grouper, which is decently priced at $10.99 and I ordered a crab boil (4 blue crabs, 3 potatoes and corn) for $16.99. I thought it would be a whole crab but it was only the parts. We also ordered a 1/2 lb of shrimp for $8 with a $2 charge to cook. I remember when there wasn’t a fee to cook but this seems to be a normal practice at seafood markets now. The crab boil was very underwhelming. It had too much butter and bland. The crabs were dry and extremely small. My husband said the grouper was seasoned well but not the best he has had. Now let’s talk about the steamed shrimp. It was amazing. Steamed perfectly, great size and seasoned well. The shrimp was definitely worth the money.
I love Jackie's Seafood on the Southside, University and Bowden to be exact. They will de-bone, filet and fry your fresh fish right on the spot. You can even get it fried whole ?
I have never been to this place before so I was just trying something new the I order a shrimp boil with corn a potato.food I got was horrible the shrimp was slimy and smelt bad the corn was rotten as well as the potatoes. This will be my first and last time visiting this establishment. If you do consider visiting this place please check your food before you leave. Just a little food for thought
Great seafood here. A few more $$ than Capt D's so very reasonable. To Go only. Yes they take snap as well. Home cooking and great selection.
