Just left this place with my family. We all got different stuff and loved it. I got the jerk chicken and it was fire, great hospitality too. Check it out!
The food at Island tropics is fantastic. The first order I had was the goat curry and it is awesome. Recommended by a friend. I thought I would never eat goat in my life. It is similar to beef tenderloin or pot roast. What a great place and great food. I highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Everything in this place is good. I get an all natural fruit smoothie made with real fruit. For you smoothie lovers try this place just once. You will be glad you did, my last smoothie was Pineapple/ Kiwi. Walk in and tell them Peaches said try a smoothie. Once you sip it take a picture of your expression I'm sure you will come back again.

I’m from New York and tried a few places and it wasn’t what i expected,I found this place with my fiancé and the food was the bomb. And to find out they are from Brooklyn Ny i knew it couldn’t be bad . Thank you for the excellent customer service and amazing flavorful finger linking food. I recommend this place to all who is looking for good Caribbean food .. you will not be disappointed.
The cashier was slow spent 15 minutes on one customer he was confused and she was too, I asked her if there was anyone else that could come and help her she asked me did I see anyone else(strike1) she said it was only 2 the other lady came out once with an order, now before I asked her my question several customers were mumbling and getting upset because they were taking to long, she then said do you have a problem waiting in a nasty tone (strike 2) I said it no need to be so rude I just asked a question because it could be someone in the back that could help you and your customer service is horrible I also proceeded out the door and told her you are going to lose money over one customer and your attitude as I was pulling off 3 other customers left behind me taking our business elsewhere, I only wanted a smoothie because those tough oxtails and bland Mac and cheese is not for me
I love the irish moss i had the i think veggie chunks rice and peas spicy it was delicious.
My personal favorite out of all the Caribbean restaurants in Jax. Give you the most food for your money. Overflowing! Long line sometimes because it's worth the wait and every penny!
