Waited about an hour and a half to get a seat walked around which was fine I enjoy walking around the neighborhood and visiting the other shops in the area it took another 45 minutes to get the food it took approximately 13 minutes to get out of drinks after being seated very disappointed in the quality of the food it was cold and the noodles were undercooked doughy and clumped together. We had them take it back and when they brought us to plate back to the table we were already done eating so we got it to go and when we got home the noodles were still undercooked clump together and very nasty taste and couldn't eat it that was a waste of $16 the rice was dry i almost choke on it and I got it to go I ate most of it at home after I put a little water on it to moisten it up and reheated it I don't know if it because it was so busy that the quality of food just got worse or if that's how it is all the time it's my first time going to have my daughter swears by their food she was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food also this time but I still enjoy my father's day out with my daughter I didn't let it ruin my time

Food was all somewhere between awesome and very good. Pad Thai, edamame, bao buns, and wontons were perfect. Soup dumplings had great flavor, but lost most of the liquid in cooking and the dipping sauce had overwhelming clove flavor. The music was loud and very bad, Taylor Swift, Evanescence, etc.. Drinks were very good too.

First time here at this location and restaurant from Tampa and whoa momma the food was ?. Love atomsphere. The drinks super yummy and light. Normally it's watered down or too strong but this one hits. I couldn't get enough of the taste of everything overall. Super friendly and catering. I went with my family and we all give super thumbs up. Loved it.

We came to Jacksonville for an antique store. We were on vacation. Before we pulled up to the store we saw this corner place bustling and people waiting outside. I thought , that must be a good place whatever it is. As we left the store we asked for food recommendations. She mentioned others and hawkers so we walked over there. We asked a couple outside if the food was good. They raved. We asked hostesses about the wait ms we didn’t want to wait because we had diner later in the day and had to drive back. So we saw two people leave the bar and quickly grabbed their seats within 5 min. The place was HOPPING! It was around 1-1:30. We noticed the kitchen was right around the corner and tiny but it looked like a well oiled machine. We ordered the steak bulgogi lettuce wraps so we could share and it wouldn’t be heavy. Then ordered chicken skewers, and chicken dumplings. Yes it’s a little wait but nothing terrible. I liked that as items weee ready they staggered the food to us. Enables us to start eating little by little. The skewers came out. Yummm! So tender. Then the siblings came out. They actually need more flavor. Kind of bland. That’s the reason for a four star rating. The place we go to in wisconsin is better. But the bulgogi, BLEW OUR MINDS!!! Omg, the flavors were to DIE FOR! I really wish they would join goldbelly.com so I can order them anytime lol. My hubby had never had a lettuce wrap and he l LOVES THEM. We left sooo happy. Staff are friendly and it’s a coo vibe. Just reimagine the dumplings? Or use pot instead?

Hawkers came highly recommended to me. Sometimes a high recommendation is a good thing and sometimes it sets your expectations so high you end up disappointed. Unfortunately in this scenario it's the latter. The hostesses had the personalities of drying wallpaper. The tables were half filled and we were told there was a 30 minute wait. Ended up being a 5 minute wait thanks to some ladies that wanted the bar instead. After seating drink order was taken quickly. If you order anything other than water be prepared to wait a bit. Our order was chili garlic edamame and chicken dumplings for apps then udon yaki noodle bowl and hokkien mee noodle bowl for entrees. Garlic edamame came quickly. One word: flavorless. Moving on. The edamame deserves no more time. Still no dumplings. The noodle bowls came in decent time. Still no dumplings. I asked about them and the waiter looked at me like I was crazy and said they were coming. My apologies, sir. I figured since they are under the starters section they would come before the entrees. Pardon my stupidity. Halfway through our bowls the dumplings came. They were not worth the wait. They were not even worth ordering. Thick dumpling with a filling like a ball of rubber bands. Oh! The noodle bowls. So the udon yaki was delicious (this is the reason the 2 stars). Asian food should be full of flavor. The udon yaki met that requirement. The hokkien mee not so much. It tasted like they used powdered brown gravy mixture and combined it with noodles. Not much flavor at all to that dish. I am a huge fan of Asian food, so I was very disappointed with Hawkers. It seemed to be more of a trendy spot for millennials to gather and use chopsticks. Don't think I'll be returning. I'd rather go to the local Chinese take out or sushi joint to enjoy my Asian food.

I think we may have chosen the wrong dishes, but we ordered several items : CKT, Tom Yum Noodles, Chow Faan, Kimchi Steak Fried Rice, Soup Dumplings, Duck Bao, Bulgogi Steak Wrap, and Korean Fried chicken. Imo only the kimchi fried rice, duck bao, soup dumplings, and Korean fried chicken were good. Our chicken was cold while our friends’ were hot, but it was still good. Every other item we ordered was just off in terms of flavor and expectations. The CKT and chow faan were very bland ; it was quite oily which is normally fine if the oil was flavorful, but there wasn’t much going on. Tom Yum Noodles had noodles, but nothing about it was like the Tom Yum soups one would expect (lack of lemongrass flavors and spice depth) ; it tasted like it had been made by someone who had Tom Yum once as a kid and was cooking from memory, but also wanted it to be healthy with the amount of raw bell peppers that were in there. /:The bulgogi steak wrap was just sad ; it was 75% chopped vegetables / tofu and 25% actual bulgogi which is sad when you make a wrap and the thing that you can texturally taste first is the tofu.Although the duck wraps may have been good, $12 for two is a lot. This place came highly recommended as one of the best Asian places in Jax, but it will be a long while before we come back as this experience was not worth the amount of money spent (average price of $13 per item too…)

I loved my visit to Hawkers. The parking was easy. It didn't seem too busy but the staff was working hard to provide the best experience. I ordered the Ramen and Emporers Choice Sake. The noodles weren't thoroughly cooked but the soup itself was still amazingly tasty. I also ordered the donuts for dessert and they were straight ?.I love the atmosphere, Japanese street art on the walls and the Kanji neon lights was super cool. The bartenders took care of me. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Great food and ambiance. Do not miss if you are around. We go here every time we are in Five Points. Great selection of beer and wine. Food is always top notch and a great value.

Each and every time we visit here, its the same old story. Just a fun ass place to eat and drink. Our last visit was with friends and friends from Boston. We had a blast, the food is truly excellent and unusual. The Saki is a real treat, some really great flavors. Our guest from Boston were as please as we were and want to go back there next time we are down. Every trip to Jacksonville, this is a must GO TO PLACE.

We were in the area riding bikes and decided to stop here for lunch. The wait time was about 15 minutes to get in and then the service took a while to start. The waitress was nice, but it was loud and hard to hear her or each other. The food was delicious, but it took quite a while between orders. I received my delicious Pork Belly Baos which I shared with my husband. His order of Beef Haw Fun and our order of Edamame came about 15 minutes after that. Seems like a long time -- especially for Edamame! Good food, but the wait was disappointing.
