Gator’s Own Nashville wings are always amazing and so are the fried pickles. Ian is an exceptional server
We've been to 2 other locations the food is great at all and so is the service. This location the service stood out just a little more to us. We loved our server so much this is definitely the go to location for us now. My husband said his burger was cooked perfectly and I had wings there were no leftovers for us to take it was just that good! Also we had our 19month old daughter and the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating to her. I will 10/10 Recommend this place. ?
This was our first time visiting and we were disappointed. We ordered the chips and queso with a side of salsa. The chips were not fresh, cold, and had no taste. The queso is just melted Velveeta cheese with some “Ro Tel” like mix and some sausage. The salsa is an off brand Pace Pacante sauce. (This cost $6.99.) When we asked for alternate chips, they brought the same cold chips and offered pita chips that was actually soft pita bread with some seasoning on it. (Added on $1.99 to our bill.) I ordered grilled shrimp with a side of Macaroni (additional $2 and some change) and a house side salad with ranch (additional $3.49). The macaroni was cold and drizzled with white cheddar liquid cheese. The shrimp was dry and pepper ridden and when offered a butter sauce for dipping, it seemed to be the stuff they spread on bread. My other half ordered the shrimp and grits in which he seemed to like, but the grits had the consistency of mashed potatoes and the tails were still attached to the shrimp. My mom ordered The battered fried shrimp with onion petals. The shrimp was tasty and a good size! The onion petals, however, looked to be a mix of old and new (you cold taste the difference). The drinks of Diet Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper, and a strawberry margarita with sugar on the rim were the best thing about our eating experience! Overall our bill was over $77 (without tip) for three people! Definitely not worth it!The waitress was nice, honest, helpful, and juggled many tables. All in all, If you are looking to watch several sports games at once on clear visible televisions, sit at the bar, and eat mediocre over priced food, this is the place for you! (If there are multiple people at your table, Do not order the appetizer plate with several appetizers you choose from because you do not get enough for that $14.99. I saw it come out at another table.)***The garlic bread pictured with the fish and grits was an additional cost of $2.99.**
This restaurant is much nicer then their old one which is a plus. The food there is very good and we’ve had pretty much everything there. Some things seem a little pricey but I guess this is just because of the times we live in
The restaurant has moved into its own building, and this is where they belong. The new building atmosphere is open and inviting with inside and porch seating. The menu has changed a little, but the time-honored wings and Monte Cristo is still available. This was my first time back after two years not visiting. The service and food have improved immensely. I had the shrimp and grits which were excellent, but the presentation needs a little work. It would also be nice if they removed the entire shell but that's a matter of preference. The fried shrimp plate was good, but the onion ring breading was more like mushy grease. Still, the experience was nice and much better than the past. They tend to stay crowded so check Google to see if they are busy. The restaurant is large so don't let the crowded parking lot scare you. TVs on every wall to keep the sports freaks happy. Overall, a much better experience and they are on my recommendation list.
Oh my goodness our trip here was fantastic! My husband suggested we go today as its a Monday and we went at 3, we definitely recommend that as it's slammed most of the time and going at this time ensured we were seated immediately. Our server, Katie, was so sweet and attentive. We got the gator tail bites and shared a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich and fries were phenomenal, and the gator bites were excellently seasoned to the point that they really didn't need a sauce for flavor it was just complimentary. We personally weren't fans of the gator sauce the gator tail came with, but Katie said we could get an additional sauce on the side to try and we HAVE to recommend that you substitute the Lemon Pepper sauce for the Gator sauce. The lemon pepper sauce is almost like a buffalo based sauce without being too spicy. It has an amazing acidic lemon flavor and it went perfectly with the gator tail and complimented it better than the Gator sauce! Definitely try out this place, but if you're pressed for time and unable to wait long going late afternoon on a weekday seems to be your best bet as the food is so worth it. ??
Overall I found the food mediocre, the staff was nice. Our servers section was sprawled out to far. I wouldn't go back.
This place has let me down, again. I have been to been to the "Dockside" three times. Every single time I was disappointed. I'm the type of person that will go to a place more than once before I review it. This particular time I ordered some lemon pepper wings with the wet sauce. My daughter ordered boneless wings smokey bbq. You can tell the wings were not fresh at all. They seem to be under a light or something keeping warm. I actually asked for a refund for my wings my daughter had eaten three of her boneless wings. She said she really didn't enjoy him at all. Also, as you can see from the picture the presentation was absolutely horrible. That is our last time at Gator dockside. I hope they can improve their food.
Nice place, nice environment, but I’ve came here on several occasions and ordered wings. Each time The wings were not made to flavor, they were recooked and served hard but hot even after I asked for fresh wings, sent them back and was served similar bad wings hard, not fresh, and refried.Prices are going up and service is going down, I’m so disappointed with Gators :(
They served my wife rotten salad and Greg is a moron to think and deny the customer complaining of rotten lettuce. Our first time here and it will be our last. Greg should consider a new job.
