Don’t make the same mistake we did. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews, and it being halfway between our house and that of a family member. Won’t make that mistake again. The entire Fuji sushi chain will be avoided because of this experience. Granted, we have never eaten here before, so we did not understand how the cryptic menu system worked. It did not help that our server didn’t ask if we were new, or really explain how to order, other than write the numbers of food items we wanted on a piece of paper. That was it. No explanation about portions, no additional information that might have been helpful. So for anyone who is new to this, here are some tips: 1. There are 2 price options. You get unlimited food from certain parts off the menu depending on which choice you make. 2. Portions are absurdly small. They are served on a child’s plate, or a saucer. That’s for any of the Hibachi items anyway. Sushi portions seemed somewhat normal, 4 piece roll instead of the normal 6-8. 3. Food appears randomly. Do not plan for appetizers to come before entree choices. 4. Sweet tea gets unlimited refills, but we never were asked about refills on our water. 5. Some food never appears at all. I ordered one thing that I *think* came out as we were leaving - the server took it back to the kitchen after walking around the dining room. 6. The quality of the food is substandard. The steak that came out for my Hibachi choice was cubed fairly small. It was cooked properly at least, but half the size of a bite I would cut for myself. The only pieces that weren’t were the mystery meat cuts. Didn’t look like steak, honestly don’t know what it looked like. But it was not pleasant. 7. Noodles CAN be screwed up. You’d think that a noodle is a simple cooking exercise. The 2nd batch of noodles they brought to me tasted like they were cooked in bad fish juice. Something was seriously off, to the point I was done with my meal. 8. My wife had a deep dried sushi roll that, in her words, had something funky going on in whatever the fry batter was. At that point, she stopped eating the food - it was that repulsive. 9. One redeeming quality is the close proximity of Crumbl. Their cookies can reset your taste buds and help you forget what just happened. 10. For some reason, there is a huge line of people waiting to get in. It is unwarranted. Do yourself a favor, go to the steakhouse in the same shoppette if you feel like waiting in a line, or Zaxby’s down the street. Your palate will be happy you did. Between the service and the food, it is inconceivable that this place is even open. We certainly won’t spend any money here again.
This sushi place is one of the best sushi places I've gone to (and the only one I've gone to). There is a selection of cooked food items and items from their sushi bar, which you can see from your seat. So far, I went once and the food was really good. You have to fill out a paper with the items you want, then they will make it for you. The only problem with that was I didn't know how much it was, so I kind got too much. A recommendation from my friend, after eating there, was to get maybe one or two dishes at a time or get 3 sushi plates. It was really good, I just wish that I could've gotten to finish all my sushi
One of the servers was very nice. Most don't acknowledge you when you ask for something. They hear you and bring your stuff, but you just don't know it until they bring it. Three times they brought us someone else's food. Of course, they leave the table so quickly, they didn't even hear us say we didn't order it. Wasteful. This is the second time we've been, but after this experience, we won't be back for a while. The table had actual holes in it with food waste dried in the particle board under the laminate. Disgusting. The food didn't come out for my wife until I was done. The ingredients are the cheapest from Sam's Club or something. Chewy chicken, soggy shrimp tempura. Hopefully they will get it together. But if you like eating off plastic with stamped edge cutlery, this is your jam.Oh yeah, and watch your head in the waiting area. You'll see.
I LOVE this place but I have to give it a 1 star for the awful service that we received last night. The waitress was having an awful day and took it out on us, the table next to us and one of the runners. But mainly us.I asked for lemon slices for my iced tea and got the stink eye. There was only three sauce plates on the table and four of us. My husband asked her for a fourth plate and some extra napkins. She literally put her hand on her hip and said "do you want anything after this?" Then brought the napkins and slammed them on the table. She checked on us one time the entire stay. And, while I was still eating, she hounded me about the check. She had just taken an order for my husband and cousin and she knew they were waiting for food and had gone to smoke. But she asked me about seven time in the span of 30 seconds if I wanted the check. At that point I just paid and left. I was still hungry, my husband and cousin were still hungry, and I left angry at the entire night. Your service used to be great. This one waitress killed it for us. (My husband has informed me that if I even mention going here again we're going to fight!)
From the moment of entering Fuji Sushi 3 & throughout the duration of our time there was not one employee greeted or even spoke, they just look at you on how many are with your party (& except they say “what to drink”), then they pick up your ticket order. Zero communication!!! After finally receiving our food from servers whom reach over your face with plates & whom also walk extremely slowwwww (& I’m not exaggerating) it was like waiting for the last drop of molasses! Our food was Not Fresh along with dry rice & sauces are diluted. We will never return to the San Jose Blvd location! Management & Owners you need to Step up & do your job to make changes! If you want to try a Fuji Sushi definitely try out the location on Beach Blvd.
This was one of my favorite places for decent value minded sushi. I have been going here for several years and ordered takeout often during covid. It saddens me to say that my last two or three visits it seems the quality has been declining. They made the local news a month or two ago for a health inspector violation which usually seems like nit-picky stuff, but now the thought is in my head. I hope they are able to get back on track. I'm going to give them a month or two and try again.
Used to be so good... now service is lacking. We only put in 1 slip each and out of the 8 items on my card 3 items and 2 on my guest's ticket were never delivered. Tried to talk politely to the manager (and I never ask to speak to anyone regarding service) and he wouldn't even look at me and made the servers handle the issue. Yes, it's all you can eat but after 45 minutes waiting we were ready to go and didn't want to try putting the order in again.
Pretty unique sushi place, you get a card that you can fill up with as much as you want for about 15 dollars, and you can keep adding more after for about 90 minutes. You'll definitely get the bang for your buck and the food was tasty. Each piece of sushi you leave on your plate is another 50 cents added to the bill if you don't finish the food, so don't over do it!
We ordered takeout from here. The menu had grilled chicken, grilled steak etc., pictures showed rice, meat and vegetables! Typically when we have eaten at Seasons you get this combo so we ordered grilled chicken and grilled steak. The people seemed to be a little confused when we showed up for our order but I think that was because the person didn't seem to speak English! We finally got our order and got home with it, we had a container with little pieces of grilled chicken and two containers of rice!!! No vegetables, no steak! The rice was good, chicken dry. Not a successful visit and not worth trying again!
We dined here a couple days ago and enjoyed the kitchen appetizers and the sushi rolls and sashimi. Flavors were good, and the quality of the fish used in sushi rolls seemed to be of good and up to expected standards. This was an all you can eat type place. Recommend trying it!
