We haven't been here in years, but stopped by tonight. It is better than it was when it first opened. We got a taiyaki (fish waffle) with a beef hot dog/string cheese filling (yea--not sweet) plus a Nutella one and two ice creams. All was incredible. They are generous with the mix-ins and it was truly delicious. Will be back soon.
I would have to agree with the majority of reviews that I read prior to my visit. The ice cream is good, really good. I had piña colada with pecans and coconut. I watched it being made, which was really neat and a first for me.Downside...the store itself was not clean. I have traveled quite a bit and would not have expected that an establishment in this condition would be able to survive health department inspections.
Busy location, menu difficult to understand at first glance. Large variety of flavors and combinations. Loved the green tea ice cream.
Small Lychee almond milk ice cream with mango and Taro Taiyaki.Large Mint Chocolate Chip with whole milk ice cream and Chococream Taiyaki
I hope the owners of this place are paying attention to the latest reviews. We visited and told the person behind the counter it was our first time there. Never even acknowledged that or made suggestions or explain their product. I ordered a medium butter pecan ice cream. While we were waiting I noticed the floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in months. It was really gross, made me apprehensive about eating my ice cream. We got the ice cream to go, there was no lid on my container, I asked for a lid, she said we don’t have lids. The ice cream was good, pecans tasted stale. Service was terrible. No personality at all! Will not go back.
The positives- the girl at the counter was nice. The negative - everything else. Store is dirty and unorganized. It’s frozen yogurt- not ice cream. Toppings taste old.I threw my $6 “ice cream” out of the driver window.
Came here several years ago and returned today to satisfy a tayoki craving, but when we walked in we could instantly tell that the customer areas were FILTHY. There were handprints all over the glass and the ground had a thick layer of dirt all over it showing that it’s been months since it’s been mopped. The employees were not following food safety protocol at all (bracelets and rings were worn, hair was not put up and could easily skim the food they were serving). You can tell that there’s a huge lack of accountability with their employees lounging around instead of cleaning the store… it’s really unfortunate that I got to experience this place when it was still run properly, because it’s really sad to see it’s gone so far downhill.
Beyond disappointing. Everything was dirty, from the floors to the sticky tables. Ice cream was weak: it needed at least twice as much fruit or chocolate to actually taste like something. Customer service was awful: I asked whether the chocolate was dairy free and I was given a very casual “oh, other than the dairy free milks, I don’t know what’s dairy free”. Same answer when I asked a similar question about caramel syrup.Bathrooms were closed, and I suspect I should be glad I was spared seeing them.I was embarrassed to have taken my mom there on what I thought would be a special outing. Everything about the place was cheap and unfit for the Deerwood area, except for the prices, which made you feel utterly robbed after such a bad experience.
Dirty tables, dirty floors, sticky garbage disposal, staff didnt wear hairnets while preparing foods.Health violations here.Staff was nice. +1Products were too sugary. This place needs a major clean up.
Customer Service: ExcellentMenu: Decent selectionEnvironment: Needs to be updated. The signs for flavors have notes with paper to cover up selections and food preparation area is cluttered.Food safety and Sanitation: Workers do no wear hair nets or caps while preparing ice cream.Professionalism: Owner or Manager asleep in the back room while the place was busy. The cashier had to make the ice cream and assist customers while the manager was asleep in the back room.Taste: Just Ok, not worth 4.5 stars
