First time using this location for fresh seafood. Our 25 plus year location close their doors so we needed somewhere to get good fresh seafood and was recommended this location. We decided to try their salmon and it was amazing. We like that they have other items on their shelves to accommodate your meals so we grabbed a French baguette provided to them from the French pantry. Wish they had a closer location to us.
Absolutely the best place to buy seafood! Excellent experience every time. Employees are super friendly and helpful and the seafood is divine! Their additional experiences... cooking classes, recipes, etc.. are exceptional!
Love this place! I have been going to the Mandarin location since I moved here many years ago. Always welcomed and aided well by the employees. Today was great. I used a ton of my loyalty points for a awesome discount. I bought Mayport shrimp, fresh trout filets, lump crabmeat, and frozen crablegs. I think I am set for the holiday weekend. All of the crab products were on sale. All of their seafood is amazingly fresh. The staff knows where everything is sourced and I love that.
I have been purchasing my seafood for years at Fisherman’s Dock Mandarin. I ordered oysters in advanced, but the day I went to pick them up they gave me the wrong size / amount and they did not have anymore to offset the difference. These oysters were for a dinner party in which I also had ordered shrimp from fisherman dock. The young lady working there recognized my disappointment in the mistake w the oysters and offered to prepare more shrimp to offset the oyster short fall. She promptly steamed more shrimp and apologized for the mishap. While not happy about the oysters she made up for it with her customer service. Thank you and I will continue to get my seafood from Fisherman Dock. Jt
Fishermans Dock has a wide assortment of fresh, frozen, and sometimes live seafood! Most of the time they have live Maine lobsters, fresh local snapper, delicious Mayport shrimp, and some really salty oysters(if you're into that)! If you're trying to make a seafood dish and you aren't sure where to find some of the ingredients(or want something fresh) don't hesitate to call this place to see if they have it, they probably will. The staff are friendly and willingly to assist in any ways they can. Definitely recommend this place!
I was a frequent custumer have'nt gone in a year love their king crab legs omg their lobster and shrimps Im going soon to this place. Price aré not that bad. And custumer service Is great. The only thing I would call and ask do you hace blue crabd they they Will say yes when I hey there 20 min later there no blue crab It happens every Time. How un 20 min they all gone.
I am a frequent customer of The Fisherman's Dock in Mandarin. One of the reasons that I have shopped there was the availability of fresh quality seafood; but, for me, more importantly was the warm friendly environment that was cultivated by the store manager, Lindsay. Every time I walked in the door and she was there, she would greet me by name, ask me what I was cooking that night, and make informed suggestions to improve my dishes and food selections. She was far more than just a manager -- she treated the store as if it were her own and every customer were special.My experience at Fisherman's Dock is unique to her. Others will scoop up a pound of shrimp or cut off a couple of pounds of grouper, but no one else has displayed the hospitality and friendliness shown to me by Lindsay.I am deeply saddened and dismayed today to find out that, due to some "corporate restructuring," the owners of the store decided to demote Lindsay and give her a pay cut. Instead of taking the demotion and pay cut, Lindsay has decided to seek other employment.In a time where employers are having difficulty finding good employees, it is such a shame to lose such a wonderful person.I will miss you Lindsay!
We’ve been buying seafood from Fishermans Dock for about 25 years. We have seafood at least 4 times a week. They have a great variety of the freshest seafood. Lindsay and Armand are our favorite employees but we’ve really never had bad service.
We get our Christmas or Thanksgiving meal here every year. Crablegs, mussels, clams, shrimp and lobsters for a seafood boil. Great prices and fresh seafood. It's a plus they are right around the corner from home.
If I could rate them a zero I would. I pre ordered stone crabs for Christmas Eve and when I checked back two weeks before Christmas Eve they didn’t have my order. I placed another order and called on 12/23 to ask when I could pick up the next day and they told me they didn’t get any in and had probably called me. I had never received a call from them. No missed calls. No voicemails. Every year I order stone crabs as a special treat for my parents and now we will have none and I am scrambling to plan dinner for my family the day before Christmas Eve. I’ll never shop here again.
