First they sat us at a dirty table. Then refused to exchange a veg on a special. It came with Cole slaw and I wanted sliced cucumbers instead. They said no! I said ok. I will a kids meal then since I had a gastric bypass with a card for proof. They still refused! The server was rude! He was the only male server there. I have been there many times without this kind of prob. But I will not go back. And I would advise others not to waste their time.
My husband and I went there last night around 6:00. We sat in a booth for 20 minutes no one came to us to see if we had been waited on. The waitress walked by us several times and said nothing. The morning shift is great. We never have to wait to be acknowledged at the morning shift. We got up and walked out after 20 minutes and ate somewhere else.
It was okay. The waitress was very forgetful, but she was nice. She kept refilling our drinks without us having to tell her which was refreshing. The food wasn't anything special. Don't get the french toast. The ham was really salty and the grits didnt have any type of seasoning. The wait wasnt that long. The portions are pretty big and it's really affordable.

Food was soooo good. The people that works there is so friendly. Highly recommend.
My first time having breakfast here and I was pleasantly surprised. My family was visiting and I’m glad we went here. The restaurant is clean, service is excellent. Our food was delivered while still hot. Got my coffee refilled without asking. And everyone enjoyed their meals. My omelet was excellent. Will return and highly recommend!
My wife and I stopped in for brunch. She had shepherds pie and I had country ham breakfast, both very good. A favorite stop for us, good food, good service.
According to my wife, they have the best gravy anywhere for their biscuits. Nice classic restaurant that's good for a sit down meal without going broke.
The 1st time since we'll before the COVID plan-demic was enjoyably beneficial. Far too much a.c., especially the price-jack. Very pleasant, attentive waitress did not turn rabid, earned her substantial tip. The menu selection has improved since last trip. The excellent shrimp gathered much good flavor from the flat grill that is impossible to develop when deep fried. Cinnamon butter on baked sweet potato scored well, as did a nearly perfect bread pudding dessert. Strangely, F. A. lists it as a side dish & charges $.89 extra for it. I had a bread pudding dessert (only $.89), an $11 plate of grilled shrimp, & 2 medium size sweet potatoes for dinner. That's $12 + tax. Hot coffee to get warm added $2.50. (Yup, 1 served.) ~ $14.36 + 7.5% tax is $15.44, NOT $18.50, plus I tipped the waitress $5 - FAR above the normal 10%. ~ ANY time your bill shows or includes more than 10% as waiter/waitress tip, you are being ROBBED by the merchant! Refuse to pay it, then discretely tip the waiter IN ACCORD with your service. Tips are showing gratitude to individuals, not the employer's demanding higher than agreed prices. Tips should NEVER be calculated & tax reported by employers as part of wages. That robs low income workers. Not all tips are monetary, but ALL are extra.
The wife and I hadn't been to Famous Amos since pandemic.. we were pleased with the cleanness of restaurant. The menu was new and expanded. We will be eating out at Famous Amos at least twice a week, now.
