Tex mex but lacks authenticity. Steak and chicken was dry. I visited 2x thinking the kitchen had an off day but same results.
You want delicious, authentic, fresh tasting Mexican food- you come here.I could eat the carne asada tacos every day and not be sick of them. I have never had a bad experience here! And it’s local.My mom thought the chocolate sauce with the churros was delicious ?
In all fairness, I have only been here twice in the 3 or 4 years this place has been here. The food is very mediocre. Salsa is meh. Beans and rice meh. My waitress was excellent. I just don't see where the hype is coming from. The steak was also very very average. I'm a very austere critic, but I also won't b.s. you.
Food is always fantastic, decor is fun, price is right, service personable BUT I'm really leaving a review after seeing their manager in action tonight.It. Was. BUSY -- never once did I see manager stop moving. He bussed tables, he ran food, he did to-go orders, he carried heavy loads of dirty dishes to the back, he sat people, y'all he did EVERYTHING. Just wanted to shout out to this hard-working dude & let him know we saw him -- we appreciate you!!
Service at the bar was great - Jen is friendly and attentive. Service at the tables is a completely different story - can’t get anyone to clear our empty glasses or menus, or to bring us drinks before they get warm. My advice would be to sit at the bar. Probably won’t be back, even though trivia is fun. It would be more fun if we received attention from our server.
I enjoyed the food! salsa was some of the best I've had in Jacksonville! The fajitas were so good! they have am option for Brisket and it was super good!
First, the actual food is mediocre and overpriced. I had the "Build your own taco" (3 tacos: chorizo, picadillo puffy taco and picadillo taco) and the size of the tacos was super small. I should remember that tacos outside of south TX are not worth their price! $17 for three small tacos? My friend had veggie fajitas that were more reasonably price - but that's just veggies. Oh the tacos also came with a choice of beans (refried or charro) and rice. The rice and beans were bland. Anyway, the location of the restaurant in Murray Hill was fine. The bar-like atmosphere was nice 3-stars. Would I come again? Probably not.
Great food and atmosphere. I will certainly be returning but must insist on having My waitress again. Ellie, YOU are amazing and a vital asset to your employer. Thank you again for an amazing first visit.

Been here a hand full of times and ordered pick up a few others. Foods been consistently good. Like some things more that others but who doesn't. Fajitas are my go to, the wife prefers the TexMexBowl and the teenagers usually go tacos or burrito. I didn't care for the fajita salad (just iceberg lettuce with some tasty toppings) but my wife enjoyed the Tex Chop Salad (mixed greens). Nice atmosphere usually. If they have live entertainment it can be obtrusively loud. Unfortunately they are dinner only. Even on weekends.
