Very good stuff. Ramen is their specialty. Ambience is nice although it can get pretty crowded easily. They present things quite nicely as you can see in the pictures. I only had a beer but I understand their cocktails are good as well. I’ll likely be back. Would recommend if you’re into ramen.
Ritchie Rich ramen is a 10/10 ; it’s rich lol and has some lovely cuts of pork in there. My husband got the Tokyo which he enjoyed as well, but he tried the Ritchie Rich and wish he had gotten that too.The lychee martini was great !! The lychee popping bobas were so nice and it made me miss good bubble tea lolI was a fan of the cucumber app that we ordered, but not a fan of the octopus (tako). The octopus, which there it many of, was grilled to a bitter point and dressed in a vinegary-kewpie mayo situation that did not vibe well with the potatoes it was stacked on. I was dipping the octopus items in the remaining cucumber sauce which improved it. My husband was not a fan of either side, so will get the fried chicken next round. :)
Even the water is delicious!!! Wings and Richie rich broth were both top notch. Everyone was extremely nice.
This place went over my expectations. The customer service was fast, friendly and precise even when the place was packed, everyone was happy to work there. I had to sit in the kitchen bar and was an excellent choice. I followed the drink recommendations of the super friendly hostess, it was a great cocktail (bees knees) good flavor, but a little too sweet for me, I am more of hard drinks. The best part... the food. I had the Tokio Ramen with boneless fried chicken, the noodles are made in house and they are perfectly awesome. I don't know the name of the spices and vegetables in the broth but they were nicely presented and organized in the bowl adding their unique flavor to every bite and zip. The broth was rich and full of exquisite duck/chicken infusion and the great surprise was the hard egg topped with a thin layer of caramel ? it was a shock of amazing creativity to my palate. The place is packed of happy-wonderful-nice-noisy people enjoying the limitless sangria. It was a perfect experience. 103% recommended and I can't wait to try more of their plentiful dishes.
I haven't been to Domu in 4 years, because the first few visits were not that great, buut coming back now was a very pleasant surprise. Service was friendly as always. We had a 40 min wait on a packed Saturday night, which wasn't bad. We ordered the Domu wings with the Kimchi butter sauce and it was excellent! I'm still thinking about that sauce while I'm writing this! The Cheezus (corn kernels, mozzarella cheese, Japanese mayo and other seasonings.) with ciabatta bread(?) was delicious! As for the ramen, I ordered the Richie Rich, and it is probably my new favorite ramen in Jacksonville. It was full of flavor, my girlfriend, couldn't help but spoon some of my broth to hers (she ordered the spicy tonkotsu) lol. Long story short, this is our new favorite ramen place. Sorry Karai.
The wings are clearly the best thing in their menu. The ramens can be hit or miss, the Tokyo was excellent but the Richie Rich had too much going on. The portions of the ramen bowls look small but decent spot overall.
Absolutely AMAZING FOOD! Was in need of something different , had Ramen before but DOMU is in a league of their own amazing flavors and the wings is a MUST GET ITEM! Our waiter was very informative and patient(had a lot of questions) anytime I hear of anyone in Jacksonville Florida definitely will recommend eating here.
Food was great, our server was just as great and knew the menu really well. While the ramen was good, I highly recommend the wings.
Absolutely love this place. The wait can be pretty extreme though.But when you do get seated it's worth it. The wings and ramen are so good. And they always have excellent drinks.Service is always top notch.
We've enjoyed eating Domu for a few years now and have always loved it! My husband and I contracted covid and subsequently can't taste anything. I put a note on our to go order asking for extra seasoning so we'd be able to taste it. Not only is the food fantastic and we can actually taste a full body flavor from it but they also took the time to write this note. Love Domu and will always be a customer ?
