This is probably the best Mediterranean restaurant in Jacksonville, the only downside is they only have bottled drinks. The food is amazing I highly recommend this place
absolutely enjoyed the food and service! I live 30+ miles north of the restaurant. We do not have a restaurant near me that serves the amazing cuisine that I encountered. I work some Saturdays on the Southside of Jacksonville and really wanted some authentic grape leaves and tuobuli. Went on Google and this restaurant got the best ratings. I agree! The food was awesome. The staff was welcoming and appreciative. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The shawarma wrap was very good. We got the shawarma platter and the lamp chops platter. Both were good, though the beef was a bit dry. It said the platters came with pita but we didn't get any. A bit overpriced in my opinion.

The other day we went to Damaskino on Atlantic Blvd JAX for middle eastern food. It is a small, very plain, ordinary place. There is a small dining room that is anything but fancy. You go for the food not the atmosphere.The food is really delicious authentic middle eastern. My wife had the Lamb Kabob platter with an additional skewer of lamb. The lamb was tender and grilled perfectly. The rice was perfectly seasoned and her two sides were Fattoosh and Baba Ghanouj. Both were great. I had the Falafel platter with a tasty pita, and tahini sauce. My two sides were Hummus and Tabouleh. Very tasty. I would of like more bulgur wheat in my Tabouleh.We will definitely return. I am looking forward to sample the Shawarma. It is a limited menu but they get it right.
Enjoyed every moment I spent at Damaskino restaurant, very nice welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, warm and friendly service, menu prices is below fair market value, I plan to attend there most of my meals and highly recommend this restaurant for all.With sincere appreciation to owner & all staff for their hard work successful outcome
The inside is very dirty and gross. The bathrooms are atrocious. We had 2nd thoughts when entering but ate anyway. I got food poisoning. Should've listened to my buddy and left. Even without getting sick I would've only given it a 2 star at best just because of how dirty the inside was.
How in all things holy have I overlooked this place for so long? I had the lamb kabob platter and my husband had the kifta platter, both with hummus and tabouli for sides. That plus the toum (garlic sauce) resulted our eyes rolling back in our heads like sharks during a feeding frenzy!Note to self: next time, we order one platter and split it. This will result in not having to bring home half the plates! The servings here are ginormous!
Dang that was the best pita wrap I've had in Jax! Hands down. Nicely grilled and stuffed with Doner kabob and tabbouleh. Hidden gem worth the trip!
