*** NOTE: THIS IS THE BARTRAM PARK GRILL AND CHILL DQAll I'll say is this. My kids haven't been to Dairy Queen since they were toddlers and they wanted to see the blizzard tipped upside down. We ordered three small blizzards and when we pulled up to the window, each one had the type of flat lid you put over a fountain drink. I chuckled and said to the attendant, "oh you're not going to tip them upside down? My kids so wanted to see that!"She told me that the cups were "too full". I had to laugh at this. I've been getting Blizzards for decades, and they are usually swirled inches above the top of the cup. These blizzards were flat across the top with lids.My kids were bummed out. I didn't care for her attitude. I reminded her that the Dairy Queen guarantee is a free blizzard if it's not tipped upside down and she just sneered at me and said have a good day ma'am. Wasn't worth pursuing so I left.Anyway... when you pay $50 for three burger meals and three small blizzards, you kind of expect at least better service than that.
I don’t know why we still keep coming here (maybe hoping that their service would improve). Ordered just one thin mint blizzard and it took about 20 minutes in total from joining the line to getting the order. The workers just chatting and doesn’t even mind giving one single napkin. Maybe they have to crush the thin mints and manually mix it with the soft serve at the back. We will just go to the San Jose branch from now on (they are a lot nicer there).
This Dairy Queen's food is great. It has had a service problem from day one. The owner has no idea how many customers leave or just don't come regularly, like us, because it takes over 3 - 5 minutes per car. When we arrived there were 8 cars in front of us and 2 cars parking to go inside. THE 2 WERE TURNED AWAY AT THE DOOR. They both left. We chose to wait again. It took 34 minutes to get one Blizzard and one cone. If it had been 10 minutes we would come weekly. Someone please help this place and open the inside up all the time. The customers want new management or new owners.
Officially NOT going to waste my time going to this location. The whole world is open, but not them. It’s a real “Read the room” moment. Don’t worry, you can still get a cone after a half hour wait and half a tank of gas idling in the parking lot.Now I will wait as they respond to how sorry they are and always strive to do better. Translation: Ho pound sand.
I walked from my hotel to get something from this location and I was turned away because the lobby was closed and they refused to let me order even to go. I shouldn't have to download a app. As a truck driver visiting this city for the moment can't take my big truck through drive through, but have the lobby doors opened and can ring a bell for service but wouldn't take my order. Wow. Can't be a covid issue because NON OF THE WORKER WERE IN MASK, was it a staffing issue, can't be because ypu can take my order and pay like I'm in the drive thru. Ridiculous I say
Poor customer service, no education, disrespectful staff. Went to dq’s drive through and asked for a vanilla soft serve ice cream on a cone. The person’s response was “this ain’t McDonald’s”(with a nasty attitude), she added that the only soft serve they have is on a cup. I asked for any ice cream on a cone. We drove to the window to pick up our order and the guy at the window hands us a SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM ON A CONE! I asked the guy if this was a soft serve ice cream and he said yes, it was. So I look at the girl wearing the head set and asked her why would she tell us that you don’t have it. At that point her coworker tells us that we got what we asked for and she didn’t see a problem, again with a really bad temper. My wife tells her that this was really poor customer service and she tells us “deal with it”.I can’t see my family supporting this franchise in the future. Wish Google had the option for a zero star.
They are still closed inside and do not allow walk up ordering. The fact that there are 3 large hotels a block away would tend to make you think they would loose business due to this, but they don’t seem to care. I wanted to use my business card to pay since I’m traveling, there app won’t allow that, so I’m out of luck. I tried to call and order food and walk to pick it up, “we are too busy for that” was my answer from the staff. Terrible customer service. But when I walked by on my way to there competition which were all open inside by the way, they had cars lined up around the block to go thru the drive in, so they don’t care. Thing is, I stay at this hotel for 2 weeks at a time, several times a year. So they lost all my future business too.
Super sad. 5 or 6 customers ahead of us, 20 minute wait. We get up to the window, 5 people - 2 are playing catch with a ball, sitting on the counters. The other 3 are chatting. I call the local manager to report the poor service, she hangs up on me. I call the national office, they will look into it. $10 for a small and large blizzard. 40 minute wait. Just go to McDonalds. It’s less expensive and 1/2 the time :(
Friendly staff. Bit of a wait in line on Friday night (40 mins) inside was closed. Our 4 Blizzards and 2 cones turned out perfectly and they gave us napkins without having to ask. All in all, great Dairy Queen.
Hard to give it more than 2 stars due to service. Icecream was good but felt like kids running the show. lobby was closed, 30 min for a drive though. still got the order wrong.
