Absolutely the best it's like a family tradition I'm 44 and iv been eating and enjoying this place since I was just a little boy when my grandmother work there. much ? everyone has the on opinions but if you come in 15mins before they close and give a bad review to me that's just not good you should know if you get there when they are closing your not going to sit and eat in js. and for the ones that say the are rude everyone isn't peachy everyday doesn't make it right tho and for the ones that say it's to small well that's what they have and it is what it is sorry for inconvenience you on that part. and not sure if you have ever noticed but most sandwiches shops all do that with burgers at rush hour I'm sure they would have made you a fresh one to.
Staff were some of the nicest people I've met in this area. Small out of the way place truly is a hidden gem. Even though they were busy, the food still came up quick and with a smile. The taco sald was pretty good. The homemade ranch did help to set it off. Now the banana pudding.... that is what should put Cleo's on the map. I will be returning if only to get the pudding.
Delightful hidden Northside gem. Cash only. Taco salad is their signature menu item, includes nacho-style chips, beans, onion, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and homemade ranch dressing. Small (very!) dining area inside, another screened enclosure for alfresco dining. Parking can be spotty, I usually order to-go.

She pulled a pre-cooked burger out of a pot. Placed it on a grill. Approximately 5 minutes later she placed a slice of cheese on the burger. As she waited for the cheese to melt she prepping the rest of the sandwich (bread, lettuce, tomato, onion, cold bacon, etc.)With the cheese barely melted she placed the burger on the bun and completed making the sandwich.When I bit into the sandwich it tasted like it had just come out of the refrigerator. She never used a cover on the grill so that the heat gets through the entire burger.That burger cost $9.50 and it wasn't worth $1. Never again will they ever get another $1 from me.
The taco salad is great and I am very particular about mexican food. The homemade dressing sets this place apart from other taco salads.

The best taco salad and steak and a sack! The burgers are pretty good too. I love me some Cleo’s. Too bad I’m moving to Houston today. I’ll surely miss them!
Might be good .. will never know..went in 15 minutes before they close and she started putting chairs on tables right in front of us and old woman rudely said take out only! Won’t be back!
Good simple food. Great price. Watching the angry lady yelling at staff, regular customers, and when robocalled was great entertainment. Didn't need to grab my phone once.
