Saw positive reviews and went to have a nice fish dinner. Place is unique with many exotic stuffed animals , but when we were seated the place smelled and the table and benches were dirty. We ordered jalapeño gator bites and fried green tomatoes. The bites were served frozen on the inside and the tomatoes were over cooked and under seasoned. When I told the waitress about it, she got very defensive. We ordered crab stuffed flounder with grits and mashed potatoes, and crab cakes with yellow rice . Flounder was served drowned in butter and grits and potatoes were dry and under seasoned. The crab cakes were hockey pucks and the rice was dry and under seasoned. The waitress never evened offered us refills. I have no idea why this place has decent reviews. The food was horrible and the staff are terrible. I guess Floridians don’t know good food. Maybe bring a trough for the slop you will be served. Save your money. It’s a dive.

Definitely an experience with the taxidermy. I love the outside however I just didn't expect to see every animal known to mankind stuffed inside lol. The food was ok, not anything to write home about. The service was top notch and the employees really seemed to enjoy their jobs. It's always pleasant to have wonderful service these days. I would give it another try but avoid anything fried.

1/2 the menu was not available, which they should have told you upon seating, below average for the remainder. Since no steak available, I had the chicken which had to be reheated from 2 days earlier since it was like chewing rubber. Wife's meal was served COLD but once reheated was ok. Been a customer over 30 years...now I can see why they are in Chapter 11...

It is a short boat ride from our dock, so, visiting guests want to go there to eat or have a drink out on their dock. That is ok, outside is a lot better than in which is crowded, dirty and creepy with all of the dead stuffed animals. The walkway to the bathrooms smells like sewage. The food isn't terrible, just not good when compared to the Fish Camp chain in town or Whitie's Fish Camp.

It's certainly an experience. I don't think I've seen so many stuffed wild animals in any museum. And its all on an atmospheric setting on the bayou. Food, however... meh. I had the good sense to stay away from the fried stuff, but somehow the crab-stuffed flounder, supposedly one of their favorites, still came out greasy. Plus they ran out of real crab, because the truck didn't come in or something like that. The mixture was supposed to be half imitation crab, and half real crab. In reality, that's half right. It tasted like half imitation crab, and half real carb. Side of mac and cheese... it was like out of a box. Trader Joes mac and cheese is much better. Side of green beans was overcooked. Overcooked veggies is just a sign of a restaurant stuck in the past. Fish dip seemed to be some store-bought onion dip plus some tuna flakes. The menu of exotic meat appetizers, which they were known for, is markedly reduced in choice. And it now carries a warning: "No Refunds." Yeah, the museum pieces are still there, but the place has gone down hill since I was last there 18 years ago.

Horrible!! First time there. I planned it for the family and thought it would be different and fun. The food was awful. We spent $85 and will not be back!

I've grown to appreciate and practically love Clark's over the years, especially when we have visitors from out-of-town. It's a cozy neighborhood bar and restaurant with comfort food and a unique vibe. It's like dining in a riverside version of the Natural History museum! Kids love it, there's so much to see and explore. There are staples on the menu like burgers, chicken and salads, but also lots of fresh seafood dishes and unique tasters from llama to kangaroo!!

Love the really cool stuffed animals, this isn't Julington Creek Fish Camp... dress down, relax by the water. The food was delicious!!My new #1 favorite for Gator tail.Did not have to wait on a table, waiter was awesome. Bummed no soft shell crab( my son was), apparently because market price was too high so not even mad. Overall the food was great( All entrees, shrimp, deviled crab) atmosphere laid back. Side Mac n cheese- it's like gross. The crab cakes were definitely sub par.

⭐=Atmosphere/SceneryWhen we arrive we was told it was a 30-45 minute wait. That was cool with us. We was able to go to the back where the lake is and look the beautiful water and baby Alligator. We was not told that we could not hear our name being called when our table was ready. Luckily the lady kept us on the list.We sat down at our table. Have no idea our Waiter's name, he didn't give us his name. We ordered our food. The food took over an hour ... I'm watching others after us receive, eat, and leave before we received our food. We finally receive our food. My entire plate (Popcorn Shrimp & fries) was COLD. My husband's fish was warm, but his shrimp was cold. I sent my plate back. Took 15 minutes to receive my fresh food. I did not get an apology for receiving my food cold. Finally ate... The shrimp was okay .. fries was terrible. Applesauce was the best thing I ate.The atmosphere (Indoor & out door) was the best thing in the entire place.

Stopped for supper with my wife while in Jacksonville on a vacation. Was very happy that they were pet friendly but that is where the good ends. We ordered the smoked fish dip and it tasted like a cheese ball as it was so puréed you could not discern it was fish. My burger was so dried up and over cooked it was terrible and the fries were cold and soggy. Wife had the gator dinner and it was good. The Mac and cheese was from a box and the green beans were from a can. That is all I have to say about that. Never again. Not sure how this place is rated 4 stars.
