The food is ok...it was 20 for the shrimp po boy with cajun fries. In my opinion,,you get a good amount of food for what you pay but the quality of food was not worth 20.00.My fries were overcooked and the shrimp poboy had no flavor. I visited this place a couple years ago and it was outstanding. The prices, quality of food, the flavor...everything was totally different. I was really surprised at my meal today. Not sure if there are new owners or i caught them on a bad day but the quality is definitely not the same.

The fish spread is 10/10, you should get it. It’s served cold, be ready for that. Tilapia sandwich was really tasty, nice big portion on quality bread. Inside is pretty small, so you may want to call your order in. Would go again!

Great chowder. Not exactly your traditional po boy but was good, and the fried shrimp was ?

Amazing food and service!!!

Went there today 1st time Ordered inside and the waitress told us she would bring our food to us we wanted to sit on the deck .. 30 minutes later to food go inside and it’s on the counter …didn’t want cold food got a refund and left

Good food. Cold beer. Amazing service!

Never disappoints.Never judge a book by its cover.Always, and I mean ALWAYS, get the Chowder. If you were driving by, you might be quick to dismiss this restaurant by its exterior. But if you venture inside, you have found one of Jacksonville's gems. This small but mighty restaurant turns out some of the best seafood in the region. And it is quant and fun.Chowder comes in a pot, with a handle, with toast in a paper plate on top (Note: You will need the toast to get every drop of chowder). Service is attentive, funny but not overly warm so don't take offense it is the vibe here. Also, they don't do tarter, so don't ask, but they will bring you plenty of their other sauces. But what about the dadgum food?Calamari - fresh, lightly fried, tender inside.Chowder - full of flavor with a little KICK. You can get it as an appetizer or a meal, but try it. An appetizer portion is enough for at least three cups.Boiled Shrimp - half a pound, cooked perfectly, butterflied do you just have to finish the peeling.Royal Red Shrimp - if it is on the menu, these are FANTASTIC. A full pound, almost like tiny lobstersFried Shrimp - half pound, cooked perfectly.Coconut Shrimp - normally, i am not a fan, but i liked this version.Fried fish - okay, here is where I depart from wonderful. Either because the non-fried food is so good or just because I think there are better options, the fried fish never looks appetizing to me. Sorry, but if it is your cup of tea give it a try.My perfect meal here is a chowder appetizer and grill fish. I normally go for chowder as a meal if I don't see anything else I want.Parking is plentiful, in an unpaved lot, but there is plenty of it. Service is wonderful and will remember you if you make a few visits.

OMG!!!! Try the chowder! It was great. The half pot, along with toast and conch fritters made for a great lunch. My husband and I both had the half pot of chowder. It was full of seafood, veggies, and a wonderful broth. We will definitely go back when we are in Florida again. But next time, we are going to get dinner.

awesome chowder great service
