Excellent. I had the lunch special, curry chicken, peas and rice and cabbage. Fantastic.
Don't miss out on this authentic Jamaican cuisine. Roti and curry are on point. The neighborhood is tired..but safe.
Tried this place for the first time to take a break from Spices and I really shouldn't have. The jerk chicken was dry and smelled and tasted like lighter fluid, just horrible! I had to throw it out. Oxtail was just meh. I've had better. Only good thing was the beef patties. I would not recommend this place, stick to Spices their food never fails.
We went for a late lunch. We had just gotten off of a Bahama's cruise and wanted some Caribbean food. We were not disappointed! Ordered 2 of the Jerk Chicken dinners. Everything was perfectly seasoned and our food came out quickly. Will definitely be going back.
Just ordered through door dash. The food was very good. Reminds me of an old friend that use to cook huge meals for me and my family as a Christmas gift. Nostalgic. Plus my 8 year old son is super picky. He has never eaten Jamaican food before. He ate most of my Rice and Peas and jerk chicken. I guess my next order I will be ordering for him as well. ?.
This place use to be amazing...when Andre, the original owner and cook was around. Ever since his woman took over, it has gone downhill. Today I paid $19+ which included a credit card processing fee for using my debit card (which I will be reporting), for bland, no gravy, and tough oxtails,, super crunchy cabbage, and dry rice & beans. A waste of money!! And the customer service was horrible. Never going back and to tell all my friends I have been referring to go elsewhere.
I love going here! Historically, my go-to dish has been the curry chicken. I wanted to switch it up and try something new, so I tried the jerk chicken for lunch. It was so unbelievably flavorful and delicious that I just had to come back that evening and pick it up again for dinner lol. The service is always great and I call in so getting my food is always fast. I’ve seen the chef take orders, serve the food, and then go back in the kitchen to prepare the food and I can tell she works really hard. I will always support this business.
I strongly recommend anyone looking for authentic Jamaican food that they give this place a try , I was to late for ribs or pork and on Tuesday’s there is no oxtail , but the jerk chicken plate was off the chain , a little spicy but I’m Cajun , so it was on point . The cabbage was not over cooked. This was my first time eating here but it’s not my last .
Staff was attentive. Like any Jamaican restaurant there is a wait. This place the shortest wait. Food was hot and fresh. The jersey chicken was done on the grill. This place is get and go no seating. Right behind hot wok and post office. Lunch time parking is bad. The jersey chicken was spicy taste a little sweetness more than . Christine takes pride in her food. One would want to give this place a try. I will call ahead for the fish on next order
I ordered a large jerk chicken and it was $19. There large only had a chicken leg and two small little chickens the size of a chicken nugget. I was not please at all. Regular Jamaican placed give you a good portion where you can eat at it a few good times. I will not be coming back
