Really nice spot. Close to where my new job is going to open. I ate there twice this week. The first time I sat in the restaurant and ordered the shrimp tacos lunch special with the loaded baked potato soup, minus cheese. I also got Jim beam with my meal and strawberry lemonade to drink with the meal. The shrimp tacos came with chips and salsa too. My server was really cool. The second time was yesterday. I sat at the bar. I ordered the lunch special double burger. Also got the same Jim Beam drink, but apparently it's a 2 for deal. Wish I knew that earlier in the week. The bartender let me know that he and his bar back were new and to be patient. Which I normally am. A bit of camaraderie was had. I did have to send my burger back once though since there was cheese on it, so I had to wait a bit longer, but it was worth it. I would definitely come back here. It was slow both times I went Wednesday and Friday.
This was one of the most horrifyingly bad experiences we've ever had in a restaurant. We sat down and waited almost 20 minutes before a server showed up to greet us. We ordered drinks including two kids blue lagoon fizz drinks for the kids. When they were brought to our table, the candy was missing and the server told us they were out. The kids were disappointed because they didn't look like the picture, but that wasn't a huge thing to overcome. We placed our orders for dinner and that's where things spiraled downward. After a total wait time of 1.5 hours, our food finally arrived, but there was no silverware at our table. We waited a total of 20 minutes and had to ask 3 different staff for silverware before someone finally brought it to our table. My husband had a burger so the silverware wasn't as big of a deal for him. He took a bite of his burger only to realize it was cold. When the silverware was finally brought, I began cutting into my margarita grilled chicken only to realize it was like trying to cut through a piece of leather. It was not edible. We asked for the manager and while waiting another 20 minutes for one to come to our table, a huge cockroach crawled across my husband's foot underneath the table. Our appetites instantly went and we paid for the food at the table side kiosk, being sure to note our experience in the survey immediately following. This restaurant needs a lot of help. We will not return.
Just left Chili’s at River City in Jacksonville, May 9, 2022 at 4:50pm. We didn’t stay to be seated. The hostess at the front rolled her eyes when we walked in seemingly bothered by our arrival. She stared at us without saying a word. I finally asked, with a smile on my face, asked how the food was today. She shrugged and said, “I don’t know”. We said we’d like to eat, she grabbed some menus, still without saying anything. We stood there for another minute or two while she looked at the computer and talked to someone on her microphone. I asked my wife if we should leave, she agreed and walked out.I recently had their ribs from another location near my work for lunch that were superb, so wanted to try the location near our house. Obviously very disappointed.
I will start this by saying we had a very nice server. She did a good job with her tables. However with most of this restaurant sitting empty, we still had to wait to be seated. There was no Host/Hostess and I understand there may be an employee shortage but the servers were literally walking by people waiting to be seated and not even acknowledging them in any way. I watched multiple people walk out. One of the positives was the food came out quickly.
Horrible service I felt like I was in the HOOD!!!
My partner and I chose this restaurant for lunch on Monday 3/28. The restaurant wasn't busy with about 5 tables being served at various stages of their meal. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order. After that it went downhill. We noticed the bartender had our drinks ready as they sat there for more than 10 minutes. Our meal took almost a half hour and our attentive waitress never checked on us or even offered us drinks as our glasses were empty for the better part of our meal. I asked to see the manager, but she never came out of her office.
Worst experience. Was “greeted” by the RUDEST hostess I’ve ever came across. I was so taken back I wasn’t sure if something had just happened or what was going on. Her attitude was out of this world. Anyway got sat. Our waiter was kind. He was doing his best. We ordered an appetizer it was brought to us. No plates. No sliver wear. No napkins. The music in here was SO loud. It was hard to think yet hear your family on the other side of the table. Our family and others asked to turn it down SO MANY TIMES. Waited for over an hour to get our foood. Update STILL WAITING. Haven’t gotten a single refill. In the end I decided to leave. Never coming back. DO BETTER.
I used to really like chili's but have become increasingly more disappointed over the past few visits.Last night was really frustrating.The place was busy, so the 20-30 minute wait was reasonable, no complaints there.What I will complain about is that once we were seated, it took our waitress about 20 minutes to come to the table. At that time, we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our entrees. Keep in mind it was just my boyfriend and I, not a large group. It took about 15 minutes to order since she kept getting confused and reciting incorrect things to us. Most likely because SHE HAD HER HEADPHONES IN the entire time we were there. I know she was listening to music since I kept seeing her changing songs throughout the night on her phone rather than attending to us.It took about 40 minutes for the entrees to come, served to us by a different waitress, AND the appetizer had not even come yet. The second waitress brought it straight out to us. I had to flag down our waitress to get a drink refill since she never came to check on us.The food was really disappointing. My "sliders" were small patties that were burnt and crispy that were shoved on a regular sized hamburger bun that was cut in half. My cheddar bites were over fried and hard. And the boneless wings barely had any sauce on them.After waiting a while for the waitress to finally pay attention to us again, we asked for to-go boxes and the check. She brought boxes and cleared our table. About 30 minutes went by, and our waitress was basically hiding in the kitchen. Finally, a third waitress came to ask if we needed help since we were visibly annoyed, and she ran out our check immediately.We shouldn't have to ask 2 other waitresses for help since ours can't be bothered to show any interest in serving us. We waited so long I was considering leaving without paying, but I'm not that kind of person. I don't think she deserved a tip either, but my boyfriend was nice enough to leave some.This place has been going downhill the past few times I've been here, and if they continue on this trend, I don't think I'll be back anymore. Very disappointed.
All male waitstaff, who look incredibly new, as if they’ve NEVER waited. Our waiter forgot about our drinks and appetizers, before moving on to another table. We had to inform the staff, who came from the kitchen, to let us know… you didn’t have a brisket, and he brought us our appetizers, drinks, silverware. When our waiter finally came back to us, to check us out on the computer screen, the order wasn’t changed on the ticket, which was a lot more expensive than the cheeseburger I settled for, cause ya didn’t have brisket. Anywho, so he had to go back and have the items changed for both my husband and I, cause we both ordered the same thing ??♀️ ALL CUSTOMERS: always double check your receipt ALL MANAGER: It’s hard to tip when folks fail down. Also, when you can’t handle your inside dining, cut back to 1/2 capacity, to allow your customers to have an enjoyable dining experience ??♀️js
AWESOME !!! Best dinner we have had out in a while. Thank you so much to the entire restaurant team… everything was great hostess, server Amy, food was hot and delicious cooked perfectly! Easy to pay our check! Everything was Awesome! Thank you all again we can’t wait to come back!!!
