Don’t go on a Sunday evening when Norman is the manager - he is pompous, in appropriate and treats his employees and customers as “insignificant” and he is better than everyone else. After we ordered we found out they ran out of celery - we asked about the refund and he only tried refund the celery and we said why’d we need ranch at which point his literally threw the money at me for the “ranch” refund. He also spoke to his cashier as if she was his “slave”. I realize everyone is having trouble getting employees but a a manager like Norman is NOT AN ASSET.
After reading all the remarks, did not expect to like BUT it was great! both hubby and I rated a 10 except for $10 price each but we had their BOGO so well worth!? Btw, we've been to both Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia and Charley's had way more on theirs!?
They made mistakes on first order weeks ago. They made it right this time to perfection. Fries were hot sandwiches were done correct. My I add these were the BEST cheese steaks I ate in sometime!!
I ordered chicken philly with peppers, onions, mushrooms, lettuce. I can only describe it as tasteless & dry. I found 1 minced sliver of a pepper no mushrooms & couldn't find onion. I had to peel the shreds of meat off of the paper to eat it. Basically ate dry toast. Very disappointed. Drive thru was fast & pleasant if only the food was good...
I am SO happy they opened a store front close to me. I’ve only ever seen these in the mall. This Charleys is FAST and DELICIOUS… every time!! I’ve been probably 4-5 times since they’ve opened and every time I’m so happy with my food. Tried their wings last time which were surprisingly good, we’ll get them again for sure. We always get the chicken teriyaki sandwich, no veggies, extra teriyaki sauce and Mayo, they get that weird customs order right every time!
As a Philadelphia native I thought I would only be able to quench my cheesesteak jones when visiting my hometown. After 5 yrs in Jacksonville I've tried all they've had to offer & nothing came close. This place after a bit of instruction and a few requests when placing my order, comes the closest.
First of all, it's CheeseSteaks, not ChesseSteaks. One would think if it is your main thing, and literally in the company name, you would know how it is spelled. That being said, the food was excellent, but a tad pricey. For two of us, it was about $32. It's it worth it? That's for you to decide. I did eat it all, and every bite was good, but you should know going in you will pay for what you get
Absolute garbage, stale bread, slow drive through, overpriced. & to top it off they got my order wrong. Cheese Fries were cold and soggy.Go to Jersey Mike’s if you want a good philly.I don’t usually leave bad reviews but the experience here left me heated
Honestly I was very happy with my food. I did say no tomatoes and they were on there but it’s ok. I’ve been waiting for this place to open and they didn’t disappoint. Cheese fries were delicious
Wife got the #1 combo and I got the #4. Never heard of lettuce, pickle or tomato coming on phillys. Took off the pickle and tomato, left the lettuce. Not too bad but they were VERY light on the peppers and onions and NO mushrooms, leaving the sandwiches kinda bland. Great fries, great iced tea. Young woman taking our order wearing her face mask on her chin.
