Totally freaking amazing! First off get there before they open if you want to get right in. Every day there’s a line and it’s totally worth waiting for. The staff is friendly the food is off the charts amazing. We had seared scallops and pear pasta dish. Out of this world good.
This tiny restaurant is awesome. This is real Italian food, not Italian-American. Everything we have had here has been over the top fantastic. Dinner only, not open Sunday. No reservations. You may have to wait. They do take away. I wish they were on my side of town. I'd do less cooking. They fall short on their bread. They need to source a better crusty true Italian type bread ala Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. That's my only "ding" for them after a few visits.
Bravo! ?? Squisito! ? Catullo’s, y’all have this southern girl feeling like an Italian hot mamma. From the moment I walked in I was transported to another world by the intoxicating aromas of sauces simmering over the stovetop, wine being poured into glasses, and the buzzing conversations between friends around the dining room. The staff is a dream team, and the chefs, well, I may be in love. I’ve had Italian food all over the country, and Catullo’s you’re one of the BEST! Every dish was prepared with so much care, and detail in the perfect presentation. The flavors were exploding in my mouth. (I said what I said. Exploding. The food is freaking amazing y’all.) My favorite appetizer is the arancini. So good. My favorite dish… I honestly would have taken any of them, filled up a bathtub, and rolled around in it. They were all sooooo good, but if I had to choose a favorite, I’d say the pear fiocci. It was… squisito! *chefs kiss* I can’t wait to go back!

After hearing all of the hype from neighbors, co-workers, and random strangers, my wife and I decided to give this place a try. The place is unassuming from the outside, being alongside a Walmart Marketplace in a strip mall. Having been warned that I should plan on getting there early (small, limited seating inside) if we wanted to eat there - We got there about 30 minutes before open. It was not long before the line started forming behind me. Once inside, you see the full bar and a plethora of smaller tables around the cozy surroundings. Service throughout the experience was top notch. As we were celebrating - we decided to go full out and get appetizers as well as desert. For appetizers we had their take on Arancini which was truly authentic, and I really liked it - despite it having goats cheese in it (Im usually not a fan). This was followed by the main course - I had the Sunday Suppa - which was simply incredible. Homemade pasta, some meatballs, and to my delight was able to dial up the spiciness for the sauce. It was great. My wife had a pasta dish that had reduced pears, an incredibly savory sauce, and bacon. I had to take a bite, and it was out of this world. This coming from someone who doesnt like to eat sweet things with meat. It was a great balance. For desert we did the Lemoncello cake. OMG. I would go back just for that. The limited hours this place is open may be a problem - but the food is top notch and we will back back (regularly).
This place lived up to the hype of being the best Italian restaurant in Jacksonville. I haven't had pasta this good in years! The wait is long, but the meal is worth it! The portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Service was excellent and staff know the menu extremely well. Can't wait to come back soon!

What an exquisite meal! Order the meatball app and arancini- incredible! We had the special- it was super yummy and we added entrée meatballs to it- that was perfection. The bartender recommended the hazelnut chocolate dessert-that was fantastic! The energy of this little gem is awesome and so are the people that work there! This will be a repeat spot of ours for sure! Thank you for an wonderful meal.
After attending a 5 course special dinner, we were starving. We came here at 9:15pm, it was still busy on Saturday. We sat at the bar and split a Pear Fiocchi. Delicious and a large portion. Only comment, they could improve their bread.
