I've been here twice and loved it both times! The food is amazing and priced well in my opinion. The drinks were great and service good overall. One night was slammed and the poor guy was running his butt off. We waited a bit but I can't fault him for that. Anyways, well worth the money and the wait. We live close by so we will be regulars for sure.
We recently moved to Jacksonville Florida from the Chicago suburbs and are looking for new favorites. There are not a lot of restaurants that are nearby but we didn't have to drive too far. Coming from the Chicago area we are spoiled by all the local ethnic restaurants and Mexican is one of our favorite choices. My wife and I decided we would have dinner out tonight so I searched what was close and found Casa Maria. Our server was Isabella, she was great. Very attentive but not overly but just the right amount. We decided to work our way up the menu so this meal was simple, just tacos. The order comes with three ta os of which you can choose your filling. I had pastor, chicken and chorizo. My wife had two steak and one pastor. We both agreed that the tacos were great and this would bring us back to go a little further on the menu. They have queso fundido with chorizo as one of the appetizers, we'll go for that on the next visit. We really had a nice meal, the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. The pricing was also very reasonable. The food is what I consider authentic and very tasty, service was also very quick and friendly. I definitely recommend Casa Maria. They are tucked away in a strip mall just East of River City Market place that is a bit out of the way but was super easy to find and we are glad that we did.

This restaurant was the only bright spot in a two day trip to Jacksonville, FL. The wait staff was very friendly and professional. The food was outstanding and each plate had way more than we could eat. We carried enough home for supper that night.

I was really disappointed yesterday 3/2/22 , I order the taco's I get home to enjoy them. Number One chips NO salsa, two there was nothing to put on my taco's. If it wasn't to far to drive I would have taken it back, But no problem I will not go there again GO Taco Bell. Wow unbelievable
I’m so freaking upset right now. How does the manager not acknowledge that there is an issue when a customer finds plastic in the queso? He was nonchalant like it’s not a problem to have plastic in your food. Another place that I will never visit.
Food was good and the salsa was delicious. Service left something to be desired. Hostess walked to our table, set silverware and menus down and promptly walked away. Waitress forgot the salsa we requested until after she brought the food and we reminded her. Would have been more than 3 stars if the staff was friendlier.
Nice local Mexican restaurant. Good salsa and fresh tortillas when you are seated. Large menu with good variety. Fresh food served hot and quick. We stop in every time we pass through Jacksonville, FL. Excellent food.
