Moved back into the Arlington area and I was so excited to see Bono’s still there. Extremely disappointed in the customer service with the waitress was extremely disrespectful to the point to I didn’t even want nor trust my food. I am talking to my dad and she interrupted by saying “Well, y’all can go to another Bono’s”. I said well can another waitress serve us. As she was collecting the menus she said yes but y’all have to move to another table” and stated we can speak to the manager.When the manager finally came over I just said I don’t trust my food and rather travel to the intercostal Bono’s as the waitress rudely interjected.
Brisket was very dry. Instead of coleslaw and mac they gave me greens and mac. Online Confirmation number 2264 for reference if management cares. Will not be paying Bono prices for dry brisket. Better get sauce, you will need it… I promise. And their “General Manager” she reflects why the operation is the way it is. She will argue and let you know that their incompetence in transferring from their online order to their in store programming because coleslaw and collard greens both start with C is your fault and she will not get you a refund for their mix ups or horrible execution of brisket. ? Everytime I pass this place I will smile, because I know it just a matter of time that them operating the way that they do, will catch up to them and especially their argumentative and dismissive manager that I spoke to.
My wife stopped in and ordered 2 rib dinners and we quickly found why we hadn't ordered from here in over a year. The ribs appeared to be the first bat h they put on this morning and didn't get them on to plate earlier. They were really dry. Fried okra was mushy. It will be another year or so before we give them another chance. A lot money to put into trash.
The menu online does not reflect current prices. The large ribs are $13.99 online menu. Large ribs price have increased to $17.99. U get a small baby size side. The turkey sandwich tasted like it was not off grill. I was so disappointed in the 5 ribs I got for $17.99, with bland taste. The cole slaw was bland bland bland. Not a hint of sweetness. Whoever is cooking is mad they are there. The food quality has gone down while prices and quantity stay the same or have gotten worse. Thanks for ruining my barbecue for the 4 th. Next time I will take extra time and go further to get Sonny's barbecue. U get more for your money and the quality is better. Bono's may be just living on their name and past good food . Current situation needs improvement
Ordered fried okra and had Bono meat salad w/ turkey. Okra fried soft. Tasted okay. Requested light lettuce. Too much lettuce. Only 1 small tomato, couple of cukes. This location was nearby. Next time I'll order from Gate Parkway.
We have a great time at this location the Food is great the Sweet Tea is awesome and the portions are spot on I'm usually very full when we're done. Try the Fried Squash it is a great appetizer before your BBQ plate shows up to finish you off. Will be back soon. You have to try this location
We loved our meals. Pork was tender and juicy. Sausage was delicious, it does have a little kick but nothing crazy. I would add a photo but it is ALL gone! Sorry ?
They are NOTTTTTT TO BE RECOMMENDED, they are very NASTY, RUDE, & DISRESPECTFUL!!! I ordered 2 meals and called back 3 additional times to make sure my order was CORRECT, due to previous times it wasn’t, so my fiancé went and picked up the order, when he gets back at least 3 sides are missing from the order, the ribs we ordered was pre heated looked old from days prior, Mac n cheese was very cold and not done, the meat was tough as a brick, the sweet tea had no sugar, so I proceeded to contact the store which one cashier clerk was very ghetto loud an rude, then stated she has nothing to do with my order when I thought lastly every one that’s working there is a TEAM, I then asked for a manager an oh Boy WHY DID I EVEN ASK FOR A MANAGER, he was much more Rude an Disrespectful towards my elderly Grandmother about the sides she wanted as well, I payed $50 for the entire order, I told them I would be returning they food an not to ever as a CUSTOMER WORRY ABOUT ME, PLEASE DO NOTTT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT ANY BONO’S IN JAX FL , WELL ATLEAST THIS LOCATION, I will share my experience with all Duval county groups!!!!
We stop at Bono’s BBQ off 95 every time we visit FL. Every time we have stopped for years it has been great. However, this location does not live up to our past experiences. My husband and I always like the brisket so we both ordered brisket sandwiches. It was the most fatty brisket I have ever tried to eat. I actually couldn’t eat it because it was like chewing bubble gum. My husbands wasn’t much better. They did comp us one of our meals. However my husbands brisket sandwich had an up charge on the hill for what the manager said was “because you ordered brisket”. How do you up charge a sandwich that someone orders? That baffles both of us and the other location does not “up charge” you for the meat you order! Poor management and kitchen staff try another location. We really do like Bono’s but this one is a bad apple
Delicious as usual. I have eaten at several Bono's restaurants in the area and have found this location to have the most consistent quality. Especially regarding perfectly cooked ribs. Some of the other stores offerings have been hit or miss.
