I love Bono’s BBQ. I grew up in Jax and but moved away about 19 years ago. Anytime we are in town to visit, this is a must have. Always good food and service. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you stop and eat here.
We get take out from Bono’s quite often. It’s very convenient, service is friendly and efficient. The meat quality is good, not great. I love ribs, so last night ordered the St Louis ribs. Over cooked and dry. Again. I’ve tried all the sides and find them mostly good. The best and most reliable item is the sausage.
Bono's and the ENTIRE staff did an amazing job hosting all 20 of us for a Pre-k graduation dinner. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The drinks arrived as the guests did and the food came out super quick and hot! Can't say enough great things. Thank you ?

Excellent Juicy BBQ- We stopped at the San Pablo location during a trip from Alabama. It was so good, we went there for 3 straight days we were there. The bbq was cooked perfectly and was the best bbq we’ve ever had. Unfortunately, we can’t take the restaurant home with us?.
I would recommend that embers of their staff wash their hands... I can't believe that I'm saying this. My wife noticed the nice Young lady (staff) exiting the stall and entering the restaurant without washing her hands.... Ribs were under cooked, the brisket was ok. We verified to have a different server... Beware...
Sweetest young lady waited on me to the drive-through. There are always so polite and respectful and very efficient. She accidentally dropped my change and said oh my fault let me get you another one whereas if that happened somewhere else who knows right. Anyways it was a pleasant experience thank you Bonos.
Curtis seated us immediately. Steve offered nice courteous service and served us quickly. The food was great! We truly enjoyed it!!

Enjoyed the Special Friday Night Shrimp dinner with friends. Great tasting shrimp with 2 sides. Appreciated franchise owner stopping by our table to ask how the meal was this evening. Observed most customers were enjoying shrimp.
