Okay, so this is awkward as I've been a consistent and avid Bonos supporter for decades, however I've had extremely dry meat( turkey, pork & brisket) from this specific location for a couple times and I've discussed this with employees as a concern and always had positive feedback. Tonight I expressed concerns and had the ( so called owner) response of franchise ownership respond with ; "perhaps go elsewhere if consistently unhappy!" I've actually never requested a refund or discount but merely was informative of problematic & inconsistent cooking, however this is the typical arrogance arrogance of specifically how to fail a business!
Excellent excellent BBQ!! We tried the sausage, turkey, chicken, and ribs! All of it is good! ? YUM! The Mac n Cheese was also really good ??

I am surprised at the bad reviews at this restaurant. We eat here often and have never had any complaints. We had eaten often at Willie Jewels in Brunswick GA and Bono's is the same menu...maybe the parent company? Coming back home to FL we were happy to find we had a Bono's here. The slawpy pig is my favorite, pulled pork with coleslaw on it and I like their sweet BBQ sauce the best. We always get takeout and our orders have never been wrong or missing anything and the food has always been hot and fresh. We also always get a gallon of sweet tea, it is the best sweet tea in the area! We have no complaints on service when placing and picking up our orders, it has always been good and friendly.
We had almost given up on this location but my hairdresser mentioned how good it was again. Just tried it- best pulled pork and French fries I’ve ever had from any Bono’s!!! San Jose location is BACK!Delicious… thank you for working hard to get it right again!!!

Stopped in for our first time ever. Food was awesome, service was fast, our server was the best. Her name was Grayson, I believe. She was very attentive, friendly, and efficient and totally made my family's visit worth it.

Well it was my first time trying and I had a takeout order of 3 meats with the side of Mac and greens.I got 2 beef brisket portions and while they were barbecued they were just bland taste wise.The greens was the same just bland.The mac was pretty basic like on par with my school cafeterias back in high school.The chicken portions were like baby chickens and again no seasoning.I wasn't a fan of the old country sauce or whatever it's called but I end up using it on the chicken towards the end.At the end I ate everything thing but felt underwhelmed. If this was suppose to be a representation of down south bbq it wasn't that great. Maybe I'll chalk it up to it being takeout but this is my honest review.
Great staff and good food. Food is always on time and fresh.
