This was a nice find, but my review would definitely depend on the order. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a crab or shrimp boil. They offer large servings with flavors from mild to spicy. I would just recommend you come prepared to get messy. As far as other menu items, the fried shrimp was not very impressive. The Wings were tasty, small but solid flavor. The hushpuppies were not the best. The service was great with the waitress coming by often to check on us and give us updates on the order. The bill was a little confusing the way they price things out and they do add gratuity automatically of 18%. Overall, I would recommend if you are looking for great crab options in a boil type.
The crab legs were awesome. My wife had multiple foodgasms. The wings were very good definitely well sauced. The service was very good my soda never went dry. The prices are fair. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great food and even better service. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is they have a 12% service charge on the bill (says it on the menu too) but then they precalculate for you what to add for 15%, 20% and 25% tip. Not sure why they have the service charge but I don't think it's right to have 12% service charge and 15% to 20% tip on top of that. Not even sure the server, who was very attentive, gets any of that service charge. So beware of possibly tipping twice.
At first we thought they were take out only bcuz they have the wooden frame for taking carry out orders at the front but then we saw a group walk in so we were sure to go.Everything tasted great! Really fresh, only deducted one star because one of my husbands wings was cold... Like possibly raw? He freaked out a bit but tried another wing and the rest were good.He got sweet and tangy sauce and highly recommended itI got fish and shrimp basket and it was so so so fresh. Hush pups were HUGE, definitely try everything with the tartar sauce it was amazing
I've been to a lot of crab joints in Jax. This one is the best, hands down. The flavor of the house sauce is insane. The heat level for a medium is on point. The service is excellent. This is not the typical crab trap. This is something more.
Went her for a birthday dinner. The service was fast and the food was pretty good. I LOVED the Seafood Boil. Get it with the garlic deeming sauce that comes with the raw oysters. (I didn't like them by the way. They were fresh /not slimy but dry like they'd been sitting out) We'll definitely go back.
Great atmosphere. Giving 3 stars because we not really impressed with the 2 appetizers we got(smoked fish dip and 6 raw oysters)The oysters($21.99) were not great quality, and the dip tasted okay.1 drink each and $67.00 later (not including tip) and we left wishing we would have stayed home and saved the money.IMPORTANT NOTE:They have "Surcharge Fees" (20% to dine in, 15% for take out) SMH...
Maybe the best seafood broil I’ve ever had and I’ve had many. Their house sauce is great.
Very clean and fast. The waiter was amazing and patient with the kids. He answered all my questions about pricing and how the food was cooked (I am allergic to shrimp). Although I couldn't eat there, the kids enjoyed the flavor and the portions were great for the price.
If you want fresh seafood this is not the place to eat. It was obvious that the food was frozen. The fish and shrimp looked like it came out of the frozen section from the grocery store. None of our food was hot and we can tell it came out of a box. We made the server aware, she came back and did sorry but we can't do anything even though most of the did was left on all our plates. I happened to look up and saw the entire back restaurant in a huddle stating at us. At the that point I asked for the manager. He came to the table and i explained that he should have originally come to the table instead of being huddled with the staff staying at us. That was very rude. He kept trying to fast talk and I just shewed him away. NOT FRESH SEAFOOD!
