We stopped in for a drink and late dinner around 9:30pm last night (Saturday). The restaurant wasn’t very busy and we wanted to sit in the outside bar area. It was our first time actually at this Applebees and we didn’t know this patio area existed until I read some reviews prior to us heading there (it helped make our decision).Anyhow Darryl was the bartender and was supporting the area’s customers by himself. Cleaning up the tables and bar, running the food from the kitchen for his guests, taking orders at not just the bar but the tables (we sat at a high top just away from the bar), etc.Darryl was kind, warm but also had a perfect balance of attentiveness to our table. We we’re never looking for him for another glass of water or another cocktail, but he also wasn’t constantly at our table. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted last night. Darryl has excellent observational skills and made sure we got the right amount of attention we needed to feel relaxed. So this review is for Darryl and to acknowledge his excellent customer service. We definitely plan to head back to this Applebees and I hope that he is working ?
We were visiting a relative at Baptist South. Stopped in for a quick bite. Service was fast and friendly. Order took no time. My wife's fries and burger was spot on, my chicken strips and fries were still steaming!! Highly recommend.
Bourbon Street Shrimp and chicken, Spinach and cheese dip and IPA draft beer , how can you go wrong? Add the donut holes with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce, you are in heaven! Staff is super friendly and reasonably priced.
I stopped in while a friend was at the doctor and had a Bloody Mary and a appetizer. It was fresh, pretty and delicious. The bartender was so sweet. She was busy but, knew what she was doing, fast. She had a sense of humor that just made me laugh. It was fun watching her interactions with others.
Visited this Applebee's for the first time for an early dinner, recently. We were a little put-off by the smell inside (smell's like a 100 year old small theater). The food service was pretty good and the food was excellent. The bar service was satisfactory, but could use some professional training. However not sure we'll go back because of the B.O. smell in there. Management, please do something about it. You are our neighborhood Applebee's.
Right off Old St. Augustine Road by the Hospital it is a bit of a challenge to get into. Parking is very good with lots of Handicap spots. Welcomed and sat right away. Liz became our server and she was professional as well as responsive to all our needs 5 ⭐. I ordered the side house salad $4.99 a meal in itself 5 ⭐. Bill ordered the Onion Soup $5.99. Now it was very good, small for the price, but even after 2 tries the kitchen couldn't really Brown the Cheese topping so 4 ⭐. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp with Garlic Mashed potatoes. A very large meal that over half came home with me so for $20.99 a real 5 ⭐ even though the Shrimp could have been larger. Bill ordered Fish and Chips with Fries, Slaw and really enjoyed a 5 ⭐ for $15.99 and took home half of it. Again can't express our pleasure with the service (Thanks Liz) as well as the food. We shall return.
Pretty yummy! Only reason it's 4 stars is because I ordered soup and it didn't come and it took a bit to wave down someone to ask about it. Not a big deal, usually, but it was my meal. Lol!!!
One of the line cook employees who went by “CEO” or “Big Boss” was extremely rude. When I sent my cold burger back to the kitchen Big Boss came back 3 minutes later with my burger wrapped in paper and said “it was good to go”and that “Chef Mike fixed it up for me” Big Boss just put it in the microwave… I will never come back to this location
Service was good. But food not prepared well and did not taste good. Check was not cashed out correct. Bonus card was used after main payment which caused me to lose money; no change can be given when using bonus cards.
Service was very slow - waited five minutes to get seated (in a restaurant that was maybe 80% empty). The waitress seated us but did not provide any tableware, we resorted to going to get that ourselves. I ordered Fish and Chips however when this arrived (after quite a while) the fish was uncooked. This would be explained by taking fish from the freezer, dipping in batter and frying, hoping the the deep frying would both defrost the fish and cook it properly - which obviously did not work. When we showed this to the waitress she asked if we would like a box to take it home - really?????
