This is a great place!!! I had been in India 3 times and I can say Food here is delicious!!! Atmosphere is gorgeous!!! Price is good. I 100% recommend this place!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We ordered takeout for 135$. Every dish we ordered was so bad. The price was at least 3$ more than what was on the website. South Indian fish fry and fish appetizer both were same fish fry except South Indian fish fry was few dollars more. Chicken and mutton biriyani was like they mixed some rice with some curry. Chillie chicken was so bland, same with Andhra chicken gravy. we were driving so ordered extra food for the next day. Ended up throwing most of the food since it was unbelievably horrible. We ordered blindly looking at the no. Of reviews. Had to write this review so that the hotel owners shouldn’t take customers for granted. We are not expecting great food but it needs to be descent for the Money we pay.
First Visit: 4 starWe ordered chicken lollipop , lamb biryani and curd rice . I like the biryani and it’s quantity. Chicken lollipop is really hard and I did not like it at all. Curd is kind of ok. Wait time is kind of long .Second visit: 3 starWe ordered mixed tandoori SPICY and fish curry hoping in this visit at least we feel satisfied. Presentation wise it looks fantastic. When it comes to taste being Indian I could not feel the taste . It was 3/4 boiled meat with different colors on it without proper balancing of spices on chicken. I like the shrimp and leg pieces in the tandoori . We end up asked for salt and pepper to add the flavor which did not work for us. When I informed them we asked for spicy tandoori they did not respond to us. That’s kind of disappointing. I kept aside the remaining food and ordered masala dosa hoping at least I get to enjoy some bites of dosa. To my surprise dosa batter does not has salt and it’s sour batter . coconut chutney tastes really bad, sambar is average. I ended up try to finish 1/4 of dosa with tomato chutney ( I hope so ) and it was kind of good . But with the struggle to eat the food which you can’t push anymore left 3/4 of the food and walked away with dissatisfaction.I never had dosa like this anywhere. I think when they serve to the customer chefs should be attentive. And employees should be empathetic when customers leave the food.We visited second time thinking we will have authentic Indian food. That’s very disappointing.
This place is fantastic. The food, service and prices are on point. If you come to Jacksonville and want authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend 5th Element.. You will not be disappointed. Trust

They will ask you for the spiciness level and since it was our first time we asked for mild and it wasn't spicy at all. Next time, we will try it hotter. Will undoubtedly come here again. I bought a Goats ? Briyani yesterday the food tasted is not briyani and not good, seems like they mix with beef ,the one on left is beef and right is goat so, just wondering why goat briyani come with beef very expensive here i will never come back .
The BEST Indian curry I’ve ever had. I cannot wait to go again! I suggest the chicken saag curry!
It was a very pleasant dining experience. The food was delicious. The staff is very friendly.I am looking forward to my next trip to Jacksonville to visit there again. I am even going to take my meat and potatoes kinda husband there. I know he will enjoy the mixed tantoor.
I have been here multiple times and the food is always great. I got there a little late for the lunch special, which is a platter of assorted curries and sides for a very reasonable price. So, I got the tandoori sampler, butter chicken and malai kofta. I highly recommend if you’re looking for some good comfort food!The ice cream machine near the kitchen is always available and filled with mango soft serve, yummy!!!
