Very polite staff and was pretty quick to hand me my order that came with some nice rice, well-seasoned pure ground beef and few nice big homemade french fries!
Had 1928 delivered for the first time tonight. Food was delivered much quicker than estimated and was phenomenal. We will definitely be eating here more in the future. Looking forward to trying the Brunch Box :)

Wonderful experience and food! Staff was helpful explaining the dishes and offered great recommendations! We ordered a little of everything and there wasn’t one thing we didn’t love! Will definitely be back!!!
Food tastes decent, but had incredibly slow and hit-or-miss service. There was a couple waiting for their food ahead of us, then about five minutes after I ordered my food togo 8 members from the Navy walked in. The couple and the service members began receiving their food and empanadas before us, and once I received my own empanadas one was still completely frozen in the center. The manager on duty gave us two deserts to comp us for the frozen food, and I thanked them for that. It then took them 45 minutes to make girlfriend and I’s two sandwiches, and by the time we were walking out with order in hand so was everyone that was eating in the restaurant prior to us ordering. Manager and employees on duty didn’t acknowledge the time-loss or thank us for being so patient with them while preparing the order. For the money spent, the wait and the food was unfortunately not worth it.
Hands down one of the best Cuban restaurants that I have ever eaten at! Great authentic food with quality ingredients and a welcoming environment. The team is genuine and patient given how popular they are and make your food to order. Owner is running a tight ship and raving about his wife’s attention to keeping the experience like home. We will definitely be back and bringing the crew!
The food is delicious, the cafe con leche perfect, and the staff friendly. We had the Cuban sandwich and yuca fries, and all were excellent. The service was a bit slow, but the staff was apologetic and thanked us several times for our patronage which is why I didn't give them less than 5 stars on the service. This is the type of restaurant I grew up around in Tampa I cannot wait to go back.
Service is fine but if you love cuban food you will be very disappointed. The coffee was generic, and the sandwich i ordered was a travesty! My worst cuban dining experience so far.
A nice break in morning errands at 1928 Cuban Bistro on Roosevelt. The staff is friendly and the coffee and chicken croquettes are delicious! Definitely worth the stop!
Had a Cortadito, media Noche, empanada 1928, all were great, take it from a pregnant lady, it hit the spot, wonderful taste, really close to Naval Jax
