I desperately want to like the Margaritaville Beach Hotel bar (Landshark Bar & Grill), really I do. This was my 2nd time here and, while it was better than my first experience, I again left feeling a little disappointed.The food was good (Jerk Chicken Wrap and Fish Tacos), the draft Landshark was cold, and the view is spectacular, but the staff seems disengaged from the patrons. The hostess at the entrance looked annoyed that I was trying to ask her a question, so we just took ourselves upstairs. My husband finally asked a staff member if we could sit on the outside balcony table and she said we could but we would have to order our drinks and food directly from the bar behind us. OK.The bartenders weren't overly busy, but it took several minutes of me standing there for one of them to take my order. A simple acknowledgement that I was standing there during that time would have gone a long way. Someone evetually waited on me.Finally, I stopped to use the bathroom before I left and a staff member emerged from a stall and walked out without hand washing. It is possible that the staff member was replacing toilet paper, but it didn't appear that it was a bathroom check because my soap dispenser was clearly low on soap and the paper towel bin was overflowing, with paper towels on the floor.I will probably still go back, but please encourage the entire service team to become more engaged and approachable. Like I said, the experience just left me feeling flat. They can do so much better and make this place a really desirable destination and asset to Jax Beach.I have no idea what the rooms look like because I live here, so someone else will need to review that actual hotel portion.
I truly enjoyed this place we ordered spinach and avocado dip, fried pickles, fish tacos and Turkey Club sandwiches. All of it seemed to get to the table at the same time. Food was delicious and atmosphere was inviting.
Gorgeous view and great drinks. Wish the service and food quality were as memorable. Stopped on a Friday for lunch. Surprisingly not very busy. We had to physically yell down wait staff to get anyone to bring drinks or correct an order. But that view...!
Average food and service…factoring in the prices there are better restaurants that you can select….the view of the ocean is good so this is the only factor it has over others possibly
The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of margaritaville hotel.The service was good warm friendly staff but the food was average . My fish tacos the fish texture was like rubber . It was as if it was warmed up in a microwave.The spinach dip was delicious wish the chips didn’t taste like out of a bag .Overall okay; nothing to make me want to return.
Excellent location! I could have sat there all day. John, our server, was outstanding with an excellent personality. Our drinks were good and the same with our food.
Great experience. Our server Alex was amazing. The food was great. The bloody Marys were on point! Will definitely be back.
Location Location Location. The views of the beach upstairs are wonderful. Great place to get a drink and a bite to eat. I was a bit disappointed by the coconut shrimp quantity. Add on top of that a seagull flew by and took one of the shrimp as the waiter walked away. The manager would not correct the matter of the shrimp but offered a dessert. The other food portions were good and tasted good. Mostly like this place for the views to meet up with friends. I would go again, just not ordering the appetizer of coconut shrimp and keeping an eye out on those seagulls.
I had the Caribbean salad with chicken and mango ranch dressing. It was tasty and very filling. The dressing was light it didn't over power the salad. Along with a 5'Oclock somewhere beverage and a nice evening breeze it was definitely a good time ?
Have been here a couple of times and service is good. Food reasonably priced, generous portions and good tasting. No wait on a weekday and ordering food at the bar upstairs makes it possible to get a quick seat overlooking the ocean.
